ant
just wondering if anybody here in the know on how all those modus 3 tour shafts differ. standard models as well as whole bunch of different prototypes out there that seem to differ in weight, balance and profile. 2g18, 2f15 etc. what would be the lowest kickpoint model with most rigid butt and mid sections among them ? anything else out there that would match said profile in steel or graphite ? I don't know all the different nippon prototype models out there, but based on your bend profile description, I think the modus 3 130 Tours might fit your needs. I game it now in MP64s and they are high launching and have very tight dispersion. For me, it has given me the most consistent and accurate results in comparison to other nippon shafts I owned in the past ( 950, 1050, 1150, Modus3 120, Proto ORA ) . Highly recommended! supo
afte a fairly exhasting session yest with these and the ora ...... i think the 2g18s (protos) are the smothest shafts ive ever hit. they go high. the they fall dead. think target practice. the modus 130 are meant to go higher and spin more than the 120s , heavier by a few grams. reports form the US say these things go brilintly in wind. they exceded all epxectation of the tour players using them. in regards to the 120s i think they are noticebally sweeter at impact. and like the 120s they have a very tight dispersion. vs the monacco X yetser day the 2g18s were tighter and straighter with less movemnet after apex. monacco can be moved about with ease ,the 130s not so. found them to be just automatic for point shoot shafts , with a hell of a feel , they feel soft , but they most definatly are not! id game these over the other protos i have if i ahd to choose just one set. althought the DPx are prety tasty as well..... i think i prefer the monacco in the epon personal heads to the other NS shafts, but i prefer the NS shafts in yamaha heads to monacco. might do a bit of tinkering i think but my choice of only 1 set of shafts wud be down tpo monacco VS the 2g18s
ant
thanx guys. i guess only people at nippon really know exact specs for all those prototypes and how they differ to retail models. found some old threads over at wrx and one was spoon thread where someone posted the info on several codes that came from nippon rep. whole bunch of different code prototypes on ebay with some codes i cannot even find any references to anywhere. and people buy that stuff, amazing.
