RIduffer
offset............. what are they like morethan the 909s? similar to the 2010? less that he personals ? Don't have the 2010 so can't tell you on that front. Here is a pic of the Personal, TS 909, PDG, Yam '13 Tour… All 9 irons The pic is a little misleading, I think visually the PDG might be the most but it is an illusion. The grind and finish on the PDG make it appear more pronounced than it really is...
+TourSpecGolfer
I think there is more offset in the PDG than the others but it's minimal as are most blades.
supo
thansk steve , that similar to the yonex ezone baldes from a cpl of yrs back, they look like buckets but most emphatically are not. ive shafted up a cpl of 2010 PW and bent them from 46* to 48 and 49 and play them with my stronger lofted irons, as soon as i hit them i remembered how good these are theyre cant be a softer , smoother feel in al of golf. the ball is mush but it doesnt get lost on the face like a few other soft clubs i find. hence my peeked interest on thee PDG thngs
RIduffer
I have an extra 7 iron if you're interested in giving it a whirl.
ant
so the offset on pdg is similar to yonex ezones or its just an illusion from hosel shape/grind ? or lets put it this way, when you address the ball do you see any offset at all from address ? supo
on the yonex, yes.., , in hand u go , whoa dragon , what the , how hte hell did ishikawa hit these?? then u put em down and they are TINY...... thin miniscule razor baldes. even the PW looks straight at addresss. how chiba-san ddi ntaht i dotn know bec htey seriolsy look rediculous in hand. ive stil got a set in sdyney with the NS proto c10s ill be playing in a week. they are my manly GC irons. dont have to hit the ball far. but accurate to a fault. the PDG i mthinking might be VERY simlar, they ahave an almsot ideantical design o nthe back, but will be softer. that to me ....... is the golden apple..., Edited December 3, 2013 by supo67
RIduffer
There is some offset at address. I would not classify it as a lot. I think the color of the finish, shape of the hosel and grind along the leading edge all contribute to the perception on the amount. Can I be any more confusing? kaaayelll
I felt all of those were true of the Flatbacks I had, Steve. Really not offset to speak of, but had the appearance of being so. BTW, Steve, someone reached out to buy my Flatbacks before I could disassemble a couple to send your way.

+TourSpecGolfer
I've had the PDG's for a couple of weeks now. have only hit them on the range. The feel is not as soft as the flatback's but more firm pure type of feel. It's got a very interesting finish like many of Yururi products. off the start I was like WTH? but after holding them in hand for a few minutes I'm actually happy they are going off the beaten path and using finishes like this. The PGD + Yururi Tour wedges are match made in heaven imo. I just wish I had the game for them.
+TourSpecGolfer
Many blades in at the moment, PDG compared to TourStage & Yamaha feels softer, is more forgiving, a little larger but due to the finish looks the same size and off center hits aren't as harsh. Solo I thought they were just fine but side by side against other blades a few of us thought it's one of the best all around.
RIduffer
Anxiously waiting to shaft mine up with the Roddio iron shaft. They are definitely softer than the '13 Yam or TS 909. Similar to the RR Pro. Because of traditional lofts, might be a tad shorter distance wise but not a lot. Grooves shred balls at least when new. Have an extra 6 iron if anyone wants to try it without investing in a full set.
