Over the last couple if rounds I've noticed the sound/pitch of my Crazy 435 had changed. It quit giving me that smashing sound when pured. I hadn't been playing much so I attributed the different sound and perceived loss of distance to slightly missing the sweet spot. After carefull inspection I noticed some cracking in the groove right in the center of the face. It's definitely not dirt or paint!

Excuse the poor pics...but it's the best I can do with an Iphone.

It may not be cracked as bad as your Onoff...but it's certainly not healthy!

That'll teach you for hitting 360yd drives. Too much power Mikey!

Lol...out of all the drivers I've had, the 435 is the one that felt like it could handle it the most. How ironic that I just sold my back-up 435!

Oh no..

you're getting me worried now. Maybe im just getting used to it but that initial sound/feel is different now. I love it & it performs.

I have that same paint chip look starting just above your cracked scoreline. Def a crack?

Both my 435's (as well as every one I've seen in the bst) lost the paint in their scoring lines at the center of the face so I wouldn't worry about it. This one actually has metal flaking and missing when looked at under a magnifying glass and if I run a fine metal pick down the scoring line it gets caught in the crack. I don't know if it's cracked all the way through but it's definitely cracked on the surface!

Send it back to them

I agree with Stew. It should not do that. Guessing it is out of warranty now though.

Think there still might be one or two in BST...

I was about to say take out your back-up LOL. Sorry to hear Mikey as I know how well you got along with it.

might have a jbeam 435-R if you need replacement :)

Michael has already contacted me... it will be on its way back to Japan soon. (^_^)

Wait...we're still talking golf clubs...right?

I'm very happy for you mike.

Still waiting for the answer from ryoma for my cracked F2.

I hope I can have happy ending? too :)

So sad...my all time favourite driver head just developed a crack....centre striking and range balls are probably not good for it. Going for the Jbeam535. I hope nobody has had problems with 535. The score line design looks similar to the TRPX.

powerful hitter! good luck buddy.

you will like the 535

sorry bud, know that awful feeling. cracked a Nakashima driver head once on the course and the sound was distinctly horrible! TRPX is a great head, like it more than the 535 but really tempted to try that 435 blackout.

Damn, mine broke right on the scoring line too. However, I've had 3 and only one cracked so...

Crazy and TSG are stand up companies with the best customer service in the business so if there's anything that can be done it will happen!
