+TourSpecGolfer
We first heard about these last march at the Japan Golf Fair. Finally they are out, I haven't had a chance to game one yet but plan to put the 661 into a xXx S-013 head this week. Both these shafts are designed for the more aggressive swinger. It's very similar to the motore speeder but it has some sort of nano tech that allowed them to design the shaft with more kick yet with less deformation. These are a hair lighter than their old predecessors and with a tad lower torque. Anyone game theirs yet?
Hutch
Just sold the 757 cpm 280s, purchased at a charity golf day here in oz, once I had it tested it was way to stiff for me. The pro who tested it for me raved about how good these new speeders performed.
+TourSpecGolfer
wow 280! no kidding that must have been an X right? got a couple emails from Muzzik 787 users asking what's the difference. Let's look at some numbers in stiff flex then materials: Muzzik 787 = 75g/3.2 Fujikura 757 = 77g/3.0 The 757 information doesn't mention about the tonage of the carbon but does mention the 7 axis Triax weave and nano materials integrated into the shaft. The 787 is full length 70T carbon re inforced by a 3 axis weave of 50T carbon. Both fit the same aggressive tempo, faster swinging player that seeks more control and distance. Based on materials the 787 outshines the new 757 and it's obvious in the price as it's more than double. The new speeders are said to feel different, more crisp, less soft and more snappy which sounds really good. In the end all that matters is it fits you well, both the 757/787 fit the same type of player.

Jobu
Chris - any updates on the 661? How does this compare to the Messenger? Edited January 26, 2014 by Jobu
+TourSpecGolfer
Chris - any updates on the 661? How does this compare to the Messenger? Yup I really like the 661, I've played it in a few drivers and it reacts to my swing consistently so I can rely and that's important to me. It's a very neutral it let the head shine. messenger isn't as consistent but it's for sure longer so I think the middle ground is the Crazy Boron as it was consistent & almost as long as the messenger. Spoon
Sorry to bring this old thread up but has anyone been gaming this shaft lately?
300Yards
Chris, when you test the Crazy Boron and messenger and have the same distance, what driver head are you using. I am interested to know what kind of driver head is good for Boron. Is Boron good on TPRX or Tiltiest 913?
Kamen
I game the 661 in my Miura head. I had it tipped half an inch to counter the increase weight to bring SW up. Very stable and feels great I don't see it going anywhere soon. I wish I hadn't tipped it though because I wouldn't mind it being a little softer. For me I get a nice high and controlled trajectory and it feels great. Previously the only expensive shaft I have played was a Tour AD-DI. kaaayelll
Would still appreciate your impressions of the shafts. Which heads, btw?
+TourSpecGolfer
I've played both shafts, I liked the 661 because it's more user friendly for my swing. Both shaft's felt similar to each other outside of weight and flex, a little numb but overall got results I could rely on. For my swing habits it helped keep me in play which I find very important. If there were anything to change I think both could kick or feel more lively. I would go a flex softer in the 661 @45" and see what a smooth swing could produce. My experience of dispersion and trajectory was very similar to the crazy boron. One thing I like about the entire new series of speeder shafts is the specs and abundant selection of models, a bit more complete than most brands. below a photo I snapped at the golf show where Fuji had custom speeder shaft colors on display. kaaayelll
Didn't realize that US and Japan have different versions of these shafts: http://www.fujikuragolf.com/golf-shafts/woods/motorespeeder757/ http://www.tourspecgolf.com/fujikura-motore-speeder-661-driver-shaft
