2014 Yamaha CB Tour Model Thread!

Alright I just received my set. Thanks Tario for getting everything setup for me. A couple of you have had concerns over the offset and to me its minimal. I took some pics comparing the Mizuno MP60s, JPX825pro and the Yamaha CB Tours. The offset it very similar to MP60s even though it looks like more but the high gloss 60's hide the offset more. I won't have any bringing these into play based on offset over my other irons.

7 iron. Lef to right, MP60, JPX825pro, Yamaha Tour CB

Nice solid feel on these so far hitting in the garage.

Great pic's, Bill. You think you could take one each at address of say the 7-irons at a 90* angle to the ground? That would be a great way to compare offset at address. Know it's a lot to ask but I'm thinking of pulling the trigger and don't wanna end up with something I can't be comfortable with. Some of the photos on the net make it look like they have a pronounced gooseneck. Thanks either way!

Yamaha Tour CB.. Edit. Ive got the shaft slightly forward in this pic making offset look a little more. Sry about that.

Thanks, Bill! I never thought of that last deal where you lay them on their side, great idea to get an idea about offset.

I have them but haven't had a break in the weather. Have the Quadra DGL 90 graphite as well.

T hooked me up with a set last year, perfect set up for me so thanks man.

I have had an extended break from all thing golf since the December.....so haven't used them much, but the several rounds I used them for I was also amassed at how good they are in all aspects.

I have to say I am looking forward to my return this weekend, I am more than sure I will shave at least a couple of shots from my cap with them.

I will be bold enough to say that I think these are the best all round irons I have used to date, and they will be in the bag for the best part of this year.

2* flat, modus S soft stepped once + half inch.

I'd like to try these, I haven't found a set of Yamaha's that were right for me yet.

Maybe it's just my eyeballs, but I think the CBs have just the slightest more offset than the 825s as well.

Pardon my ignorance, what are the 825's?

Hi Chris, can you compare CB Tour to Romaro V type R? Seems these 2 are among your favorites. Thx.

Mark

Who's got these?! They are tops in my book, never experienced consistency and accuracy like this before!

From the day I got them I immediately looked at them and thought I'm not selling these... I haven't yet because the results I get playing them.

They feel great - softer than previous tour model CB's

They are bigger - bigger than any previous tour model but smaller than the onoff forged

They are more forgiving - one of my favorite things about this iron seems they reward bad shots.

They are hardly workable - we could hit slight draws and fades but these want straight

The trajectroy is spot on - the yammys are good in even strong winds, mid trajectory all day in your shaft. C-Tapers are nice in these.

I couldn't find much to fault them for besides the busy stamping.
