Posted December 28, 201311 yr My friend has a gauge and n the sole of the Aluinser insert it says "Aluinser by Tour Div. G.F." There is also a G logo in the cavity back beside the gauge caliper. If yes, any more info into what exactly was GF's contribution. Also, if yes, Whitlam Gauge or Takei Gauge? Thanks.
December 28, 201311 yr Author Thats my putter Don't think so but you know the story behind the tour div?
December 28, 201311 yr I'm sure Chris will chime in as I'm pretty sure he knows. I thought Master Sasaya originally worked for Gauge Design, George Takei and then branched out on his own. 2005 ish? Not saying I'm right but that's what I seem to remember.
December 28, 201311 yr During my trip to visit Gold's Factory last month, Tario told me that many of the boutique brand maker used to work with Gauge design and Sasaya san is one of those who started their own company after the shut down of Gauge Design, if I'm not wrong I think Yururi is also another brand that came from Gauge team. Thanks. If this putter ws done by Sasaya during his term at Gauge, it will not or should not have the G logo and "by Tour Div. G.F." I don;t think its an after market tune up as well. I suspect there must have been some sort of business alliance in the early days of GF. Hopefully Tario or Chris can ask Sasaya for the facts.
December 28, 201311 yr As far as I remember, Romaro was one of the guys that branched out after gauge. I recall those days the Romaro was just a putter maker.
December 28, 201311 yr Duffer19 - I was hesitated between Yururi and Romaro because I heard those name from Tario when we talked about Gauge Design but I'm not sure who used to work with Gauge or maybe both of them, but one thing I'm very sure is that Gauge is the homeland of boutique brand master.

Sasaya used to work for George Takei at Gauge Design Japan, so did David Whitlam, also the guy who started RomaRo. Not Yururi. Several GDJ models say tuned by GF with G logo, it was like a special edition back in the day.

George Takei had an unbeleivable team back in the day, particularly reviewing it with the passageof time!

Congratulations to Sasaya-san for pursuing his golf passion. The master is obviously a highly educated man. Gocchin I understand prices will vary, but can you give some indication as to pricing for Sasaya-san to do his magic on an existing putter.
