+TourSpecGolfer
via www.golftoimpress.com by Tario (gocchin) It's been a hectic and very busy month so I was glad to take some time away from sitting in front of my monitor to snap a few custom Mizuno Yoro orders. We had about 5-6 Yoro orders come in and 3 of them made their way here for some photos. The first set featured the MP-69 with a Nickel Chrome Satin finish instead of the standard mirror finish. Customer wanted the grind of the MP-69 to be similar to the JPX 825 Forged iron which has some leading edge and trailing edge relief. He kept the stampings the same but changed some of the color. Customer also wanted 3 of the Japan only MP-R4 wedges with a 48* wedge acting as the PW. This time the customer opted for a beautiful Raw finish and custom stampings with own name. Grain flow forged was removed and tour 2010C etching was added to the neck. The MP-R4 is turning out to be a very popular wedge. An eye pleasing shape, easy to use, nice and sharp quad cut grooves with full face micro milling, it is also in huge demand since its available with all Yoro options. I also had another customer's MP-R4 3 wedge set from Yoro, all with custom grinds and finished in Black with red and white fill and shafted with DG Tour Issue shafts. This is the first time we have done the MP-R4 in black and it looks amazing! He ended up with a 49, 53 and 58 set of wedges. Here is a shot of the 59* with S grind. kamen rider
Are there 2 versions of the MP-R4 - standard retail & Yoro craft? Are the MP-R4 wedges forged in Japan? Edited March 1, 2014 by kamen rider

gocchin
Are there 2 versions of the MP-R4 - standard retail & Yoro craft? Are the MP-R4 wedges forged in Japan? Yoro Craft is the custom crafting division of Mizuno. They customize all Mizuno clubs for tour pros like Luke Donald and others. Their services are only available here in Japan. So the R4 as well as all other Mizuno irons are made to spec for each customer by Yoro so its not really a specific version so to speak. http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/topic/32504-updated-oct-10th-custom-mizunos-from-yoro-craft-thread/ Need to update that thread! +TourSpecGolfer
After waiting a few weeks the customers what them stat. Amazing set's of Yoro's go out weekly but it causes a delay and costs money to reroute them to Tario or myself for photos.
