Posted May 27, 201410 yr So it's been a bit of a roller coster ride for Crazy. Started a few years back with the old president getting busted for some unsavory activity. Then Japan domestic sales tanked due to the affiliations of the old president and his actions. Early this year Crazy was purchased by a brand that runs pro wrestling in Japan and decided to change the company name to "Single B"... "Triple X" How original... Anyway besides that the good news is that Crazy will continue to offer products and produce popular older models and perhaps even launch new models under Crazy with new leadership. That said "Single B" will also be releasing products from wedges and irons from Toyoshima-san to their own line up of shafts and accessories. It's a pretty safe strategy, they get to say its under new ownership with proof of new brand, they can also continue to sell their great performing shafts under the Crazy label and hopefully the past never catches up with them. To be clear they will be making more FW80 shafts and Crazy Black UT's! just a small update.
May 27, 201410 yr Very interesting. I wonder how long it will take for them to start getting the innovative-juices going again. Glad they are continuing to manufacture older shafts but I would love for them to start really pushing the envelope with new offerings again.
