bk24bk
Whorin....curious what wedges I should try next....played Epon, Yururi, RC, Vokey Cold Forged....Chris suggested Modart, but 500 per wedge seems crazy. Suggestions? Looking for 2 in the 54 and 58 spectrum.

RLL33
No tasting menu is complete without Miura on it. Although I just received my first Zodia Point-5 Spec as I was typing that... <g> (Thanks, Chris!) Edited June 11, 2014 by RLL33
Hong Kim
I'd love to hear what you think of those zodia point 5 specs
mpbachman
RL33, good point. The Miura Y-grind has to be one of my favorite wedges of all time and the K is just cool...
RLL33
Will let you know after this coming weekend. It's a beauty out of the box, I can tell you that.
RLL33
mp: Yeah, I love the Y-grinds too. But just yesterday I actually kissed the 64-K after lobbing over a trap from rough just off a green and leaving it inside the handle.
bk24bk
Yeah. I've had Miura 501s, 201s, and 1005s and I just haven't loved them. Kind of like a bad girlfriend who is great in the sack. I keep going back but I sorta hate myself. Not really. Just a little
bk24bk
On another note, do you find the raw wedges have a distinctly different feel from the satin/chromed? I've had raw Vokeys and Yururis and they just feel harsh.
supo
bounce... firslty ........., what bounce do u like ? big bounce try the syard bolds. or tourstage forged x -wedge. prgr tour are delicious type H. if uwant ot go ultra low bounce the prgr egg wedge are one of a kinds. those miura 5005 w or something that idrive plays work a treat too. for crazy spin u still cant go past yururi tours
Craig
I think mpbachman gave you some good advice. You should snaffle up those Crazys.

Romaro-Slut
How are the Romaro sx - sx-r - sx-is wedges? Anyone played them? think the zodiac and the pokey cold wedges performs better
bk24bk
I'd get the Toyo's if they were new. Little nervous on used. Want the bite of new wedges. So with a 300 cap per wedge, 8-12* of bounce, what should I go with?
Craig
As I said it was and still is good advice. Most wedges spin like mad, for a while. The Crazys will for a long long time. That is from experience. They dont spin as much as some, like for example the Yururis, but after extended use, the Crazys (and some other high end wedges) lose very little. Mine spin the same after 2 years or so as when I first started using them. Buying them used is better. Makes them cheap

supo
but i really liek the new tourstage x -wedge i cant fault them ( once again)
chiromikey
I'd get the Toyo's if they were new. Little nervous on used. Want the bite of new wedges. So with a 300 cap per wedge, 8-12* of bounce, what should I go with? Spin is FAR more dependent on your swing than the wedge so don't pass up a good buy just because they're used! Mjr. D
I have sky dream jump - not a damn issue with them. Fantastic. I also have Gold's Factory wedges... a little large but nice all around. I'd like to try the Vokey cold Forged wedges.

jbird902
Playing orginal Vokey forged 50 gap and 62 lob with a Miura K 56 in the middle. Best lineup Ive had..
+TourSpecGolfer
His mind must be spinning with options now. Let's ask him the important stuff because it matters. Do you come in steep or shallow? Any preference on bounce? high/mid/low How important is spin? Do you like soft feel with little feedback or firm with more feedback? Do you take deep diviots? Your most played course is hard/med/soft turf As for used vs new in wedges, some wedges hold their spin well and others don't. Looks like we all agree that Yururi and Bolds spin like heck, the bolds will lose some of it over time but if you clean the grooves out it can last. The Yururi's will shred balls for a while with clean grooves. Toyos are good spin, not great, but the feel/feedback factor ranks high to me and also the grind. Endo made wedges feel gooood all around but lack in feedback. consider the ONOFF S-Forged, not many have it but consider those the Toyoshima of Endo. The 52 is almost gone at Labo. Stew is talking about the TourStage X-Wedge, this is for the advanced player imo, they give nice feedback and don't feel oozy like others. compact and yes it comes with spin that lasts. firmer and compact sums them up for me. As far as new vs used, of course we would love to earn your business but whats important is you get what you need, I suggest used if your experimenting or unsure of what to get, I suggest new if you know what you want and must have it. Lastly consider non conforming grooves if you don't play tourneys.
Blader-X
I'm bagging the '12 Vokey Forged in a 62 and I've got the cold forged Vokey in a 54. Both are stellar and you couldn't go wrong with either. Spin is terrific without being too much. The cold forged are every bit as good as the prior model; just a little more firmness in feel. The grinds on both of them are quite similar and are the grinds I love. Can easily open if needed. Club slides through thick as well as thin lies w/ ease.
