I just got a set of Epon 503 5-P, looking to fit them with graphite shaft with around mid 60g. I am playing Epon 502 with tourad 65R and wanted to trying something new. how about MCI, Roddio, Quadra or others? pls share your experience, thanks.

Newest is the ATTAS iron shafts and they are available in many weight options.

Quadra is another worth considering.

MCI is one of the most popular in Japan at the moment.

Roddio, hard to get as shaft only but you can send heads to us and we can have them

Installed for you.

The MCI in 60 or 70 is fantastic. I've played both and am sticking with the 70. It's long, consistent, tight dispersion, great feel.

Switched to graphite after prolong battle with tennis elbows. I have quadra 852i on onoff forged and tour ad 95 S on 502, quadra much smoother and higher ball flight, but I get more distance with 502. Maybe it's the heads...

you are right, the 502 has great distance, longer than the romaro type r with the same tourad shaft. the head does make a great difference.

Have not played many graphite shafts in irons but am very interested in what you choose and more importantly how you find them.

After playing TourAD for years, I wanted to give Quadra 652i a try. Will be fitting them on the Epon 503 soon...and then test it side by side with my Epon 502 with TourAD 65! Next will be the MCI60 for sure...

I ended up putting the Quadra 652i on the Epon 503, they are great shafts, very smooth, they are comparable to the Roddio which I have on my Romaro.

the Quadra plays similar to the tourad, but feels more solid at impact. both have great distance, I think I get slightly more distance from Quadra, not sure if it is because of the head. I like the Quadra very much. you can also consider roddio as it is a very smooth shaft. good if you have a smoother tempo. but if you always go full speed, then Quadra may be a better fit.
