Posted August 1, 201410 yr comment_228795 The Bridgestone J715 B3 and B5 Drivers ComparisonSo as everyone now knows the Bridgestone has unified all of it's labels into one, the most disappointing part about all this is that they are phasing out TourStage. While this makes a lot of sense for the company the real question is how will they reach the U.S market's price point without watering everything down. Looking at the technology it's becoming evident that Endo may no longer be manufacturer, that could be a step backwards as even the older Bridgestone U.S gear was made there although dumbed down from their premium label TourStage. Whatever the case these woods sound nice and mute at impact which is evident in the videos posted below.Enjoy these comparo pics!
August 1, 201410 yr comment_228801 Those drivers do have the looks, sound and I like the face "milling?" Watered down JDM, potentially, but probably better than the run-of-the-mill TMAG driver you grab at the big box store. That B5 has a great profile/setup.

January 20, 201510 yr Author comment_235255 It's just another flavor 460cc's, adjustable, with weight in 2 finish options normal (red) or black (black). Bridgestone is highlighting 2 techs we haven't seen them stand behind before, Power Slit which are slits near the top line crown this makes the face flex back and pop forward at impact. There is also the Power Rib which is like the slits and the same face milling on the J715's for reduced spin. 8.5/9.5/10.5 lofts 45.5" standard playing length, in Japan upgrade shaft options, Diamana R60, MJ-6/7, Kuro Kage XT60, Fubuki AT60 Stock shaft is 57g in stiff flex 4.9tq. This club can be used by high cappers and professionals depending on the setup.
July 9, 20159 yr comment_243767 I actually hit this driver today through the US Bridgestone Test Drive program (they ship you a club, you ship it back for pretty much just postage price - pretty cool program and wanted to see how it felt). It was the B3 model (the only US one I believe) with a MJ-6s shaft. I have to say, the shaft was pretty freaking good (ugly but good) and the head felt great and got out there. It absolutely is a players driver in a 460cc shape and still has the adjustability/tech bells & whistles for a less clean look. The face profile is a little annoying at address but it makes up for that with somewhat alignment with the ball-size open area in the grooves. tl;dr: a performer that is probably one, if not, the best feeling USDM driver and the MJ-6 is a pretty freaking great shaft... (I tried the AD-DI 6s as well and that shaft and I never have, nor still don't, get along).
