Disappointed and Confused with Srixon

Could someone explain to me why Srixon doesn't have the Z945's on their US site? The form from Dunlop Sports (http://www.dunlopsports.co.jp/en/press/file/159.pdf), said that it would be coming to the US, along with the Z745 & Z545. Read where they said that it will be made from S20C steel, so that is comforting.

I guess they will be pulling a Mizuno and Yonex fast one one the US market. (i.e. same JP steel on both sides of the pond.) I know I'm late with this fellas, but this is really bothering me for some reason. I found out that my local club builder will have an account with Srixon, since he has one with Cleveland. If better job comes around next year (especially since I have gear now and wouldn't have to start from scratch...) I would bite 5 bullets to have these built by my guy. Calling this a no-brainer would be an insult. That's how bad I want these. :p

Didn't Srixon withdraw from the US market officially months ago? Or was it last year?

They are coming back as Global but like Bridgestone certain finishes and limited models may not follow.

I would guess they will meet the Japan market demand before sending sets to the states.

*Update*

Sent a tweet to Srixon about this and this is what they said:

  1. @SrixonGolf Sooooo where are the Z945's? They weren't on your website.

  2. @Daris_L_Cotton At this time, those are exclusively for tour players.

  • 3 weeks later...

Hello, I work with the tour dept of Cleveland Golf/Srixon. The 945s are here in the tour dept.. There are discussions being held currently about availability to the public. Many players are using them and they do look spectacular. I have most of the product in stock from the tour dept. now. Shipping is slow as the launch has been rather rushed and a bit confusing at retail. Staff guys are very happy with the new offerings and you will see more and more of our staff using Srixon as opposed to Cleveland in 2015. There WILL be a players iron coming as well for those of you who think Cleveland will be taking a back seat. I will advise if they move forward with the 945 to the general public when that decision has been made.

Cheers,

Could've sworn I saw these in Tokyo a couple of days ago. At Victoria golf I think or at one of the shops at Shimbashi. Along with the new woods
