Posted October 3, 201410 yr Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...Who copied whom? Or are they related? Or is the use of blanks way more prevalent than we think? These would be pretty specific blanks, though.
October 3, 201410 yr Well, it's not exactly someone trying to copy the ever popular Channel or LV handbag. 99% of the golfing public probably never heard of either brand.
October 3, 201410 yr Wait, is this simplified Chinese on the first picture? If it is Chinese characters , that would explain it.
October 3, 201410 yr ive never seen nor heard anything of balck arrow thats gotta be chinese copy , no ?
October 3, 201410 yr Black arrow seems like a copy, if you look at the bottom right gear of the black arrow wedge, you can see the spaces between the gear. Modart looks spot on with the gears working together in the wedge pics!
October 3, 201410 yr well...if it's a copy, it looks much nicier than the modart on that picture... Regarding the space, pictures are not taken from the same angle. Much flatter on the Modart one, that's why you would not see it.

With the spaces between the right bottom gear of the black arrow. doesn't seem right. It could be the angle of the picture or not, who know's. I wouldn't be surprise if both wedges came from one manufacturer but different "Master" grinders!?
October 3, 201410 yr Fake. The Modart is made fully by CNC, the other is made like a normal wedge with CNC milling on the back face.
October 3, 201410 yr Author I don't think I'd say fake since it's not trying to put itself forward as Modart. Good point, though, they are different - forged/CNC vs billet CNC. The question is do we definitively know who came first? It sure seems one copied the other. Edited October 3, 201410 yr by kaaayelll
October 4, 201410 yr RAW heads purchased in Japan, Some Grinding done in Japan, Milling done in Korea. I consider them Fake Japanese/Korean Golf Clubs. But Black Arrow basically makes copys of multiple brands. S-Yard Bold Anyone? I think that pretty much sums everything up.
October 4, 201410 yr How about Srixon? Pretty much only sold on Taobao and other online discount shops that also have fake gear available.
