yamaha2014
The owner retired, they no longer make putters
RLL33
This is untrue. Yamada was overwhelmed with custom orders after news got out of him gifting one of his handmade putters to Pres. Obama. He then set up a way to separate his handmade putters from the machine milled. Both are available again. I believe the machine milled line has actually been available here at TSG for some time. And in the US, I know John Muir of clubmaker-online.com carries those and is in touch with Yamada personally and able to get the hand-made's special ordered again. Well, john miur must have had an imposter on facebook..as he told me the man retired 6 months ago and to order a piretti. If things have changed then so be it, but according to john miur on facebook..he man retired.
needmoregolf
it's true, yamadas can be ordered again, and John Muir is a valid source. I've emailed him personally as well as receive his newsletter which mentions this all in the latest issue
nobmontana
Got a response back from Yamada. Lucky me. They had a Samurai burning copper in stock! Ordered one in 35" direct via email + paypal. Dang, that was too easy! ( I hope that website was legit , that's ok , I am Paypal protected. ) With the current $ to yen exchange rate, price was great too! Should be here in a month or so. golfalli
Like to know that too. How did you do that? The only site i know was in japanese
+TourSpecGolfer
Drop me an email [email protected] If Yamada has it in stock we can have it to our shipping department in 1-2 days and get it out, we will also beat anyones price on these. Issue has been with Yamada we would place orders they would respond please wait 1 month then 5 months later nothing... we make a fuss they respond that old man wants to retire, we ask "is he retired" ends up he isn't but he doesn't want to work... ok so where is our putters... please wait longer..lol It's not because there is such strong demand they are like this, its because the old man really want's to retire but can't for some reason. So what many of our customers have been doing is buying used Yamada's and sending them into golds and the result is even better than standard new. akapur
Hi.. So can anyone advice on the process and price on sending used Yamada to Gold's for reworking if new orders with Yamada is still sporadic? Had this done to a Yamada Wide putter. Gold's did a great job redoing the finish and adding weight to the head. Contact Chris he can give you specifics.

Shankopotamus
RLL, that finish is amazing. It almost looks like a copper camo pattern... and I love my camo. My 85029 is pretty much mint condition, but now I'm thinking of sending it in just to have Gold's do that pattern. And maybe his face milling too.
