Curious who forges these clubs and where?

Thanks.

Endo forged from what I recall. not sure which of their facilities though

I'm sure they're endo Thailand, they've been for many iterations and these have a technical aspect to them that would suggest endo expertise

Does it really matter what endofacility forged them..Chris had a post some time ago that stated Endo uses the same forging process at any of there facilities. Endo whatever is awesome, let's not lose focus that the idea is to hit the ball

I'm interested in these but I'm not willing to buy them with the shaft options I'm finding on some sites. Does anyone have suggestion on sources for these Irons?

Shaft possibilities

  1. KBS Tour 120S
  2. Nippon Modus 3 120S

Thank you

You can get them here with pretty much any shaft you want through the Labo Spec department. Send Chris an e-mail.

That's great to know thanks... I looked at the standard price and I'm a bit afraid to request a price based on that.

Send [email protected] an email. I'm sure you will have no problems getting the shafts of your choice.

There are other ways to get JDM clubs online, but TSG guarantees authenticity. Customer service is also excellent in the unusual circumstance something goes wrong.

Did I sound too much like a fanboy?

I'd rather pay for a German made BMW than a China made BMW... Think it does make a difference irrespective of quality control standards.

I sent an email so I will see if we can work it out. I spent 1425 dollars in December with them so maybe I can give them more of my cash :)

Interesting, since you mentioned cars...more and more Japan cars have plants in the us..tell the people who continue to buy the cars as they don't care. This where is it forged is way way way too much emphasis, wow.

IMO, it does matter where goods are built, especially luxury goods as quality is better

Why does it matter if Endo forges in Japan or Thialand, pls explain how the golf iron will feel different or anything?? I have fourteen wedges and irons and they feel awesome, they r not endo

People are getting way way to omto where it is forged..geez

Take it easy yamaha2014.....don't have to make same general comment 5x in same thread

Starting to wonder if you work at the Endo Thailand :tsg_smilie_smile2:

I disagree Yamaha2014. If I am paying that amount of coin then I would like to know where the clubs are forged / assembled. I would definitely give preference to Japan forged over Chinese/Thai.

yes, I agree, it's as important as the individual who's spending their hard-earned coin wants it to be. doesn't necessarily make the club any better or worse, but whatever makes someone feel comfy unloading the wallet and more importantly, standing over the ball. we all know this game is 90% mental, so to each their own. just my 2 cents...

So I guess nobody really knows for sure so would that keep anyone from purchasing these Irons?

Gee Gu6953. I was just interested where they were forged without any editorial intent. In fact I heard Thai Endo is a very modern factory.

Further, bought my set from Tourspec with Nippon Modus 120 stiff shafts. Quick turnaround, great communication, and fair price. Chris is great.

I was going to purchase the Kuro's and had my heart set on them, but since I need 3/4" over Japanese std, they wouldn't have been able to get the swing weight below D5, which is too heavy for me.

I'm going with the Modus3 120 S and may go 1/4 over standard. I'm thinking they will end up around D3. I guess I should ask. What shaft were you going with?

I was going with the Modus 125, in X-Stiff. It weighs 129 grams. From my research, I would only lose about 1 swing weight point for every 9 grams in shaft reduction. Whereas every 1/2" adds 3 swing weight points, so it was the over length that was driving the swing weight, not necessarily the shaft.

If you give your specs to Chris, he'll send it to Labo Spec and they'll let you know what the swing weights will be. That's what he did for me, anyway.
