New RomaRo Ray Alpha Driver

RomaRo's new flagship driver has mid spin, high launch with a forged cup face, it's designed with a focus on distance where the Type R series is geared to players who require less spin.

I think I may need to bring launch down so I'll be testing it in 9.5 first with the standard shaft, looks good though and RomaRo has been working on this one for a couple of years almost twice as long as they have worked to produce any other driver in their history.

On a side note wait till you see the profile on the Ray Alpha Fairway Woods, This one could give the Ryoma D1 FW a run for it's money.

Enjoy the pics!

How does the feel compare to 460HX & TypeR driver?

Wow, that is a shallow face... does look almost like a deep 3 wood.

I like the shape and design of the head.

Looking forward to a first review.

Way too shallow for me. I had an HX460 last year. How can they go from such a deep face design to something as shallow as a 3 wood?

It's for a different type of player, 455 Type R would be the one to consider or the original HX if you seek a particular face depth.

Alpha/Type-R/Ray are 3 different series of clubs.

Just bought this for a strong senior friend. He keeps saying how great it is. Thanks Chris for the advice

Your welcome! Thank your pal too.

I haven't heard anything negative about this club yet only praise from those who have bought it.
