Ryoma Maxima vrs D1

So having just started to get my D1 v spec dialled in for the new season my hoing instinct kicked in and I started thinking about what the maxima would be like :P. The previous posts I have seen are confusing. Loft for loft is it higher or lower than the d1? It sounds like it is a higher spinning head although may produce a stiffer tip?

Any experience gratefully received.

I don't have any experience with the D1 however with the Maxima Tupe V you want to go 1* lower in loft. A few have noticed including myself that it tends to launch higher than the loft on the head might suggest.

The Maxima is one of the longest Drivers I have ever hit.

But I just could not get it right. Some rounds I seriously could not hit a fairway.

I think if you have the perseverance to try different combos, it could be something sensational. I have the same shaft in mine as in my original Ryoma. One Is just a fairway finder, the other could not hit a barn door.

A lot have said this, including Chris. He would be a good starting point, thoug there is honestly nothing wrong with the original Ryoma

I owned both D1 Premia and Maxima....loft for loft Maxima is the higher launch head. Some say to play a stiffer tip shaft in the Maxima to tame the beast down....

I will second that, the distance of the maxima is unreal, I have the Vspec ST somewhere, only used it for a couple rounds but remember it blowing my mind. And that was with the stock shaft.
