Any more tips than the roberts? :-)

www.tutelman.com shows how you can DYI a shaft puller.

i would just get a mitchell golf shaft puller !!!

* im not a fan of the Roberts shaft puller......its very strong and have been known to shatter shafts

Edited by robbie

I picked up the Roberts puller off the bay recently and it has been serving me well. It's built a bit rough around the edges but is solid. However, if I had high $$$ shafts to pull I might still bring it to my builder. You can never go wrong with Mitchell equipment.

I'd go a Roberts also. I have a Roberts equivalent and have extracted (conservatively) 250 shafts with it. From cheap shafts all the way through to high end stuff.

The Mitchell machine is no more fool proof than a Roberts, it has a lot to do with the operator.

Use low heat and take your time = no broken shafts

spring loaded puller (Mitchell's), a mini torch so you can target just the right places (hosel) and a heat gun should just about handle any shaft pulling situation. operator error is definitely in play here, so yes I agree, take your time and be patient

Golf mechanix

Great gear and well priced, all you need for a workshop, top end or budget.
