August 31, 20159 yr So far I haven't figured out how to launch my Zero-Kai. This 105 seems much more friendly.
August 31, 20159 yr I have a question for all of us Epon lovers. In all honesty, how would you say Epon equipment feels and performs since that Japanese master engineer (forget his name) left the company compared to when he was with them? Same quality? Slightly less quality? Same epon feel? Different feel?
August 31, 20159 yr Author Every brand has a Kobayashi from Mizuno to Honma in fact they have multiple, it's the combined efforts of the team that produces the results not just 1 man. The difference I have noticed is far more releases but most of those are adjusting original models which is ok, I think they are are in a good place now. One thing that gets me is how Epon drivers are empty while other brands that produce at Endo have power slits, milled faces, chem milled crowns and a bunch of other technologies yet Epon keeps their heads very simple. Perhaps that's all thats needed.
September 3, 20159 yr Although, I am all for evolution, I personally think Epon are on the slow track and have been surpassed by both boutique and major brands. They still make high quality clubs but you can now buy better, saying this would be sacrilege a few years ago.
September 27, 20159 yr Reading up further into this new head... looks like Epon did something new to the face. Face is a cup face design with harder material in the middle and less harder material on the surroundings. I believe this is an effort to produce higher ball speed without sacrificing overall feel at impact. If this is true, I might consider this for replacing my 153
