Henry
Have heard so many good things about Egg woods over the years that I am thinking about getting the 3 and 7 woods in stock M40 (SR) shaft. For those that have tried the 2015 version, let me have your insights on what you liked or disliked about them. Thanks.
sundowner
The EGG 2015 7 wood SR is long, high launching and forgiving. Sound is a light "ping". The head size is much more compact compared to the 2013 and esp. the 2011 EGG version which I like very much. At the moment the wood is a hook machine for my swing when I go after it because of 3 degree closed head, 60 lie and and too much tip torque. The tip of the shaft is soft. sundowner
3* closed? how did you measure this? Hi Chris, didn´t measuere the face angle. Got the info from the PRGR page: http://www.prgr-golf.com/en/product/fairwaywood/new15-egg-fw.html The head is sqaure near my right food.. Frequence of the stock shaft M40 is 221cpm. Very very soft.. Do you have an idea for a tip stiff 60g. low torque (low-mid launch) shaft for that head??
Petethepilot
I have one and they are supposedly 1* closed...which looks about right to my eye! The 2015 doesn't make a tinny sound and has a deeper face. It is my gamer even with the stock shaft and goes great. Be aware that the stock shafts tend to play soft to flex (if you are used to oem clubs) Pete
