  1. More infos please!!? What's about the specs?
  2. Before Royal Deco and Prototype lines Crazy played stiff to flex. The S-531b Proto stiff is MUCH softer than the corresponding original. 6.9 - "stiff" arround 25 cpm! Stiff but and tip soft, mid launch with a lot of roll. It's more a distance kind of shaft.
  3. What's the difference between FW80 and TRPX Red Hot?
  4. To all lovers of Crazy FW80: Which of the newer fw shafts are similiar or better then (tight dispersion, feel, launch) Original FW80? Up to now I don't find a better shaft in fw.., What's about - Basileus ß - Diamana Thump - Rogue - ...
  5. No more new AAA 2015 50 r in the market? : -)
  6. Maybe the new PRGR Egg 7w? The Egg´s are long and forgiving. The stockshaft of this year Egg fw I wouldn´t recommend (too tip soft, too light). I test at the moment the original version of the Crazy LY01 driver shaft tipped one inch in EGG fw 7. That´s much better. 7wood is easier for me to play then 19* hybrid, but best (between 19-21 deg) is a fybrid (a combination of fairwaywood and hybrid, rare to find at the moment..). Ricky Fowler tested the new Cobra F6 baffler (looks like a fybrid). Best and most forgiving I´ve ever played has been the Wilson Fybrid with original Bimatrix shaft.
  7. There are 2, 3, 5 (and mybe heavier) weights from Kamui works. The JBeam weights don't match.
  8. I´m interested in the shafts, too. Does anyone know about feel, cpm and bendning profiles? Multiple kickpoints: Like whiteboard design??
  9. Hi Chris, didn´t measuere the face angle. Got the info from the PRGR page: http://www.prgr-golf.com/en/product/fairwaywood/new15-egg-fw.html The head is sqaure near my right food.. Frequence of the stock shaft M40 is 221cpm. Very very soft.. Do you have an idea for a tip stiff 60g. low torque (low-mid launch) shaft for that head??
  10. The EGG 2015 7 wood SR is long, high launching and forgiving. Sound is a light "ping". The head size is much more compact compared to the 2013 and esp. the 2011 EGG version which I like very much. At the moment the wood is a hook machine for my swing when I go after it because of 3 degree closed head, 60 lie and and too much tip torque. The tip of the shaft is soft.
  11. Bought 2 weeks ago the Vice Tour, as the compression is lower then Vice Pro. Compared the ball to Hex Chrome, Hex Chrome Soft, Bridgestone RX/RXS, E7, Gamer V2 and others. Long game: One of the longest balls with tight dispersion. Higher trajectory. really great. Short game: A little bit firm feel - no worry about, and very tight dispersion too. Not the check off Pro V1, but easy to adjust. Putter: With the ball I´m too short at the moment (very slow greens..). Try to adjust.. Great ball!! If I can adjust with the putter, it´s my new gamer...(on fast greens - it´s my new gamer..)-)
  12. 4g: I would think the clubfitter will take tungsten powder. 6g .. depends on how deep the shafts will be installed in the hosel. Simple rule: No tungsten powder over the hosel line (will make playing the shaft differently).
  13. You´re welcome! Think about with Kiyoshi BLK and headweight of only 194 g (T388) the cpm reading shoul increase about 10cpm (same lenght, same grip). If the new combo feels to stiff, you can start with 1/2 inch longer (cpm decrease by 4-5 cpm) or your fitter bring the headweight to 198-202 g (what I would recommend..). Mis**ts on lightweight heads could somewhat short. T388 is a great players type head!!!
  14. Looking for a shaft with close bending profile and similar other characteristics.: Oban Kiysohi Blk 75x: Butt: 96 Mid: 48 Tip: 33,5 Weight: 83,6 g TQ: 2.6 Balance: 24,3 Your Speeder VC7.1X: Butt: 99 Mid: 46,5 Tip: 31,1 Weight: 76,7 TQ: 3,1 Balance: 24,5 The Kiyoshi BlK 75x is 5-7 cpm stiffer as VC7.1X. Also a good recommendation, but is Fuji, too: Rombax Type-X 75-X Butt: 99 Mid: 46,5 Tip: 28,3 (..for a much lighter head..) Weight: 77 TQ: 2,7 Balance: 25,1
  15. Measured it with PRGR Red Eye. (>1.5 only 2 times) So in theory 1.5 should be max, if COR is 0.83. So.. maybe - COR of the head is little over 0.83 (?) - PRGR Red Eye measurement is not exaclty (?) - In other forum people got with new high-end shafts similiar numbers (but I don´t understand the phyisic behind / relation to shafts....) .. so..
  16. Red Regio Formula M is really (!!) mid stiff. The shaft works very well for an open .. closed type of swing with the driver. Then the Regio M is one of the best! Great great distance and dispersion! With a closed .. closed type of swing it doesn´t work (.. for me). The Regio Formula MB is more mid "normal" - not soft and not stiff.
  17. As I have the Egg1, A-Grind, diff. JBeams and tried all new Honmas on a demo day: A-Grind: Pros: Best looking head in the market, Best at adress, On of the best workable heads. Got smashfactor over 1.5 with it. Cons: Very hard face! Would only recommend for people over 102-105 mph. (.. I´m to slow..) Neutral: Low launch / low spin head. Go one more in loft and install only 1 inch tip. Egg-1: First I had big problems to dial in, because of the very light head weight (190g). "Tuned" the combo with 7g leadtape (head) and a better (for my hands) grip with 8-10 g counterweight (so it ´s 319-320 g). Now.. Pros: One of the easiest to play most forgiving combos. Sound is really really good (more on the higher side). Distance is excellent. Head is really anti-hook, so you can really go after it. Launch can control with your swingplane. Stock shaft (high kp) is amazing (no need to change). Best Driver "off the rack" I have ever played! Cons: Not as workable as A-Grind. Also not workable as JBeam 435. New Honmas: Tried all new heads inclunding diff shafts: TW 727 430, TW 727 455s.. Look of the new heads is really really good!! What should I say: No one of the head/shaft combos really impressed me. Distance was mmeehh. Dispersion with the 3 star shafts just ok, but not really good (tried weight classes from 40-60 g shafts). The 430 is IMO the best head of the bunch: Most workable, most piercing trajectory. Harder face than all other 727 heads. The other heads: No.. Hope that helps!
  18. Before making a new topic on spine alignement (as it´s for me and others one of the most important fitting parameters..). One experiment for you if you like: Take a shaft where a fitter marked the spine (without head, without grip): Just swing (more slowly) the shaft only with your left hand and lightest grip. Than begin to rotate the shaft clockwise (maybe everytime: 2-3 degree) and everytime lock where the shaft wants to go (higher, lower, more to left, more to right). You will find out you also have diff. swing planes high-back - high-forward or high-back lower forward ..! A great clubfitter told me: Spines are really great .. "if you know where they are.."
  19. Great review!! Yes, Nippon spines the shaft before painting. If you see the high fade (Logo down) in the future: Just rotate the shaft 1-2 degree (really mininal) clockwise and lock what happens.. The Nippon Regios are great for fine tuning the trajectory using the spine!
  20. Hi Nob, at which position do you install the spines of MB and AAA (or are the shafts floed)?
