Another Set of Custom CB-1008 Irons!

Recommended Posts

Miura Craftsman World CB-1008 Custom Irons - Another heavily customized set from the Miura Giken Factory in Japan, this set features a Copper - Nickel - Chromium Mirror finish this is the softest feeling chrome mirror finish available anywhere, the sole has the custom grind dent sole option and the heads have been ordered extra heavy. Finally we have requested as little offset possible on this head design making it look like a butter knife at address.

What does this grind do? who would it benefit?

Might be wrong, but I think it's great for softer conditions and for steep swingers/diggers.

a-grind cbs are without doubt the most aggressive cb ive ever seen,

they have a micro thin topline.

thin/mid but very comapct sole, tiny head, and clump the ball when hit nicely, the cavity muscle is fat but small, making miss hits not so rewarding, flushed shots however are a thing of beauty.

these are ONLY for the most consistant strikers of the ball.

who want ot move ti around

personally .. I don't think I ve seen a better shape CB iron , but u really have to be on yr game.,

bec these things are aggressive.

not he softest heads out there but in terms of player esque, CBs, these are the benchmarks

by a country mile!

I'd agree with Stew, the A-Grind CB's are the longest, most versatile CB's I've ever hit. The Mizzy MP55 beats them though in feel for me.

Here's the MG CB-1008's I had made to compare with those. They're drop dead gorgeous, as I thought they would be, but the MP55 beats these, too, for me hands down in feel, trajectory, distance.

These are Double Nickel with Copper underlay and special grind.

Thanks, Ash, and Stew. I agree these babies are gorgeous, but as I said in another thread, on first hit, I was not thrilled. They feel bottom heavy to me. May be because I've been playing mostly blades, but they suffer in comparison to the Mizzy's for me as well. I don't know, but something about the sons' designs don't do that Miura-san thing for me in the way the older clubs still do. But damn, they're pretty to look at and hold in hand. ;=] I'll def be giving them some more time and trials.

Ahhh I feel a little disappointed now I've read this...

I had my heart Set on these, or the Mizzies Yoro 55's but really wanted these( after the Buchi's)....

I have a hard time getting my head round the Mizuno brand!!.... Stupid I know!

How much different are these in playability to the MP55.

To me the MP55 look like Shovels compared to the CB1008's?

Go for it! Don't let me discourage you if you feel the burn for these. I hesitate to post reactions like this one sometimes, as I know feel is so subjective. I see you show Epon as your brand of choice while I don't always get along with those either. Go figure... A-Grind (tiny) blades just have me dialed in at the moment. And I'll def be hitting the Miuras some more to be sure...

Is there any chance you could post a Picture of the Mp55 and Cb1008's please.

Btw I appreciate the honest review, and understand feel is stubjective ...

Do you mean next to each other for comparison? (Otherwise, pics are already here on the site.)

they do launch very high I was quite amazed by that but I found mine to be a nice impact espscially given the shaft I put in them. stouter k's

clubs come to life and die equally by shaft choice ive found.

I like mine so far, will be taking thme on hols over many fancied others.

prob be tired of them after that !
