bogeylondon
Is Sus 316 good and forgiving? Thanks
Golfer881
Probably the bed forging, Japanese endo forged, (look it up if you want) these are are very forgiving for a cavity back, and the are very soft feeling irons. Softer than any mizuno you’ve ever hit. Without question. These irons were around $1800 new
bngolfer
G, I’m always happy to see we have new members posting in the different boards. When posting in the BST though, do post a pic with your name and date together with the irons. That will prove that you have them in your possession. They are beautiful irons! Thanks! nobmontana
21 hours ago, bogeylondon said: Is Sus 316 good and forgiving? Thanks I also recently built a set of these SUS316 irons as my back up set. SUS316 is a softer stainless steel. Seen this material used in exotic putters only occasionally. ( Design Tuning STP-06 and Benock as an added option ) The material is supposedly softer than your typical S25C or S20C. Playability of these irons are likely similar to the AF-302 ... which in the Epon line up is more on the "players" side. The SUS316 are not Game Improvement irons. These are "players cavity" If you are a good ball striker, you will find these pretty easy to hit. If you are not, these irons will not help much with that.
