Found this shaft used on a Jean Baptiste driver I found on a Japanese auction site. 

Described as a Korean made shaft called "Prism"  not yet officially released in Japan. 

It looks like it has sections of the shaft that are asymmetrical shaped and tapered for added rigidity?  I think....   

It's interesting!.     Anyone have more info?
