AKFLY
Can anyone give me a comparison: Setup, Sound, workability, forgivness, etc……
Golfdog
I have had extensive on-course comparsons between a Gemini 395 10.5*, a R510 TP (retail) 10.5* and a R510 TP (tour) 9.5*. The Gemini was the longest of the three by at least 10 yards (probably more). This surprised me, because I expected the Gemini's strength to be forgiviness rather than distance. There was one instance where I absolutely nailed the tour TP-just right in the middle of the sweetspot. Then had a so-so hit with the Gemini. Both balls landed in the same place, and the Gemini ran out farther. It was very impressive to say the least. As for feel, the tour TP felt the best-very solid and hammer like. Sound was also nicely muted. The retail TP also felt pretty good, just not quite as solid feeling as the tour, and a little "brighter" sounding at impact. The Gemini was louder and didn't feel as solid. But I got used to it. :) The TPs are pretty workable. The Gemini is less workable, but you can still move the ball either way. The Gemini is very easy to hit straight. As an aside (and I'm not trying to piss anyone off), I can't see any reason to pay a premium for a tour TP. The retail is just as good. lidolegend
I can't wait to get my Geminis. I have one coming with a 26.3 and one with a ys7. I'll give a full review once I get them!!! -Ted
FAQ
Can anyone give me a comparison:Setup, Sound, workability, forgivness, etc…… I had a 510DF Tour with a 757, and I have the Gemini 395cc. The Gemini is a good 10 yards longer and way more accurate. For me, it's much easier to control as well. I just had the Blue that was in it pulled and put a 553 Fuji in it and that was a major step too. This is a workable, forgiving club. The sound is short and slightly sharper. Not overly loud though like a Cleveland. I like the feel much better in the KZG in comparison to the TM. The TM drivers always feel cheezy to me for some reason. Never solid. Hands down winner in my book is the Gemini, but I'm still trying some other drivers too.
AKFLY
Very good reviews - thank you - my plan was to get one as a back up, but it sounds like it may become a primary. Anyone know whether the faqce is closed or open on a 355 and a 395 ? Thanks to all.

Thanks to all. That was my plan too! Get a Gemini as a back for those times when my swing is way off  My 395 is slightly closed. I think I measured it at less than one degree. Maybe a little experiment with a NV 55.
forgedcrazy
The black heads are out this week, i've been using a gemini with nv 65S in for a while and the only downside is hitting the ball slightly below the middle you get an incredible amount of spin a ball that looks like its going miles then falls out of the sky 50 yards short. Akfly just remember when you change from TP to Gemini the shafting depth is different by 1/2 inch. This post is like weird for me as i ordered a TP with NV 75S from TM tour van today, im picking it up tomorrow, you guys are making me feel like im going the wrong way. I did tip my 65S about 3/4 of an inch to compensate for the shallow insert. You will not know until you try it - do not look back on your purchase and give us a good report back. forgedcrazy
thanks i know its the right move for me, i just kept hitting the gemini left, i put it down to closed face in the end, i really fancied the prospec 390 but as a pro i just couldnt justify spending $900 on a whim, so the TP it is.
