I currently play the Cobra Forged SS irons, the best set of irons I've found (for me, so far) excellent feel, very forgiving, workable, and sets up nicely. My current handicap goes from +1 to 1.4 (currently 1.1) my 5 iron swing speed is 89mph and driver is 101-104. My Cobra Forged are starting wear a bit, and I want to purchase a new set. I heard a lot of good things about the Tourstage irons and want to give them a try.

My question is which Bridgestone Tourstage model is the closest to the Cobra forged SS? I want a set that's just as forgiving as the Cobra Forged (I just don't play enough...I need the forgiveness).

Any feedback would greatly be appreciated.

if you want cb's I would go for first the MR23 CB - the best cavity back ever! or the Z101s.

I am looking for cavity backs... MR23, Z101, 202, 201 etc.

go with the MR-23 CBs if you like a small, refined, blade-like CB. I have the 2 iron and love it!

I don't think the MR23s are that good of a choice unless you carry a low single digit handicap, Yes they feel great and set up small but they were designed and geared for a +5 handicap player named Maru Chan. When your swing is a little off the MR23s will punish.

Id say go TS202s if your on a budget and XCBs if you don't mind spending over a grand for irons.

For the most forgiving irons that TourStage makes go with the 202's.

For a combination Forgiveness and Playability get either the X-Blade Cavity Backs or the Z101's. Shafts make a big difference in all these clubs.

I find all of the above irons really easy to hit. I think the 202's are a tad easier because of the grind.

I don't think you'd go wrong with the TS 202's. I demo'd the Cobra forged, and they are sweet. But I think you'd like the 202's even better, especially if you are looking for a bit of forgiveness.
