Project X from Rifle

yep, that is 100% correct.

They even showed a closeup of his iron shaft during sundays coverage and you could cleary see it was a project x.

yeah thanks to phil holding that follow through and the close ups... the people in thier marketing department were probably doing backflips.

Ok, we all know that they are projX shafts, but what flex are they? I would assume 6.8-7.0 based on his SS. Would be neat to find out for certain though....

Jer

phil has played these shafts for at least 1 year. there are several pros playing px shafts. i use them in my wedges and love 'em to death. strong flight that cuts through the wind like a hot knife through butter!

Thats why the graphics are on the underside of the shaft...you couldn't see them if they were on the top...but hold that follow thru and "viola'"

Is that from this year ?? The reason I ask is he says he is using a 975J .

I thought he was using a K or X or whatever it is ??

It's from November 2001. I've checked his website, but it never seems to get updated. The 2003 Masters Edition of Golf Classic confirms that he has PX 7.0 shafts in his irons, and the Titleist - Bob Vokey print ads from late 2003 make note of the fact that he uses PX 7.0 shafts in his wedges.

Until the July issue of Golf Classic is released, I won't be able to confirm his shaft specs.

Does anyone receive the Darrell Survey report???
