johnnypro
I could use some advice. I just picked up a 10.5* tour-issue 983E head and I'm wondering what shaft I might eventually install. Not sure what my swing speed is but I normally drive it in the 250 - 260 range with a draw and NOT very high. Fast tempo. Always play a Pro V1. I'm 53 years young. Any thoughts? Thanks! That loft would handle the lower trajectory and that would be a good shaft for your Swing Speed.
PxExG
While the NV might be a good choice in R flex I would be a bit afraid on the tip stiffness in a bore-true head. I actually would go with a Tour Release or a 652 Speeder if you want to go the Fuji route. plenty of feel, and the bore-tru will firm up the weakish tip section so you wont have excess spin. Good point. Fully inserted that shaft would come up very stiff in the tip. Aldila doesn't even recommend tip trimming it at all. If you do decide to go with the NV then insert it to spec (regular flex) and have the club guy fill the bottom bore-through with the tip of an old shaft.
