jy
Are these fakes from Japan or China? If they are from Japan, I would say they did a pretty bad job :surprize: I have seen the Chinese ones...geez..they even spell letter for letter and detail to "similarness" was frightening. As good as their fake branded bags and watches !! (hmm the watches are good...i have a few  )
shokosugi
Yikes........... :wah: Why would they do that and why would anyone buy the fake ones.!!!!!
chainsaw
Chris- You don't have any further info on the TM tour grey market info do you?>
+TourSpecGolfer
These are Chinese Fakes. 250.00 gets you 1wd thru putter and a bag :surprize: heads fall right off the shafts after several rounds..lol In regards to the TM Grey's, they out there in HUGE numbers, I'm positive many TSG'rs have some but there is no real way to tell. They are the real thing just not perfect specs but they indeed have the markings and T#serials.
shoe295
WOW...those are actually pretty good copies...if I saw them without the original to compare with they would probably fool me, not that that's hard but still. as to why would someone buy those...because they don't know any better...why does someone send out mass emails stating they are Nigerian government workers who want your bank account numbers and passwords so they can park $49 million in your account to hold for them? cuz somebody will give them that info....same deal....offer Honma's for 1/2 a house instead of the whole house and someone will buy thinking they got a good deal....and I've got ocean front property in Iowa for sale cheap...Davenport by the Sea..... :surprize:
+TourSpecGolfer
I find I get another 10 yds with my Srixon Impact Power Gooy. Â BTW I got some fake Nikes from China recently and if you bought them at Footlocker you would'nt be able to tell the difference. :o When the Kitty hawk aircraft carrier came back to Japan the courses were flooded with hacks with what appeared to be sweet sets. I'm talking 19yr old E2's with full honma sets shooting 135+ net scores. I have hit them watched them break and watched some good players shoot decent scores. the lofts on the 3 Iron and 5 Iron in one set were the same to my eye. I can tell if they are fakes by just looking at the bag and I'm sure many of our members could also. It just looks poorly made but to the average person I'm sure they could be fooled. Chris, my dad bought a set of katana irons some time back and I took it for a round thinking it was real and very proud of myself. The heads DID FALL OFF. Worse thing is it wasn't from hitting the ball, the 9 iron head hit another iron when I stuffed it back into the bag and it fell right off :surprize:
xxio
They are fast too. I have received email from a "source" with pics of the"China" R7s. He said you could tell right away because of the lousy paint jobs on the shafts. If it was head only you would have a hard time telling except for the misaligned letters/script on the bottom. tsunglin
Go to Ebay-China. Then you will see many many fake clubs. Most brand names you know are there. Kind of sad.......
