+TourSpecGolfer
I'm hearing from the TM Japan Junkies that the same man who created the CTI Driver has been working on the R7 Fairway woods for several months now. This Designer has done the CTI, XR05, XR03, XR05 special edition, XR05 FW and several other projects. My guess is due to the price and designer it will be Japan only. Taylormade is also on its 2nd or 3rd generation prototype of its next driver that will replace the R5 series, please remember the R7 isn't the replacement club for the R5 its just another option to accompany the product line. MGB
With regards to the replacement to the R5 line, this should represent trikle down of technologies currently in use on the R7 without the expensive weight adjustment configuration on the sole. We should see the expanded inverted cone face and possibly the super thin walled head without the adjustable weights. Expect the MAS plus and tour shafts to continue. Mitsubishi seems to be finding favor with TM, Nike and others these days.
