Guest
Has anyone tried this in a 3 wood? Looking to put in a BBD-H 13 deg will this aid in getting the ball flight higher? Thanks

lightrider
The CP-02 maybe a little too light for a 3W. Also, depending upon how it was tipped, it may play really stiff. The YS-7 would be a better choice.
Guest
I don't like the YS-7 at all. I have a HM4 but I was going to push that to the 4 wood, may use it in the 2 wood. Matt
Godfather1
A great fw shaft to get the ball up is the graphite design purple ice, since it has a low kick/high launch.
FAQ
Has anyone tried this in a 3 wood? Â Looking to put in a BBD-H 13 deg will this aid in getting the ball flight higher? Thanks Here's the specs on it Matt... CP-02 - 73 grams 2.0 Torque Midhigh Kick It doesn't look like it will get the ball up higher by the specs I have. I think it's a mid trajectory. The Tour Release 27.3 is a very good FW shaft if you are looking for a little higher trajectory. I have one in a TM 200 2 Wood that Joe put together for me and it works great. Doesn't balloon either. shoe295
I think you meant 73 grams not inches...although a 73 inch shaft would be amusing, talk about slowing your swing down....must be lack of oxygen caused by the new Gauge Design irons..
Guest
I'm holding on to the CP-02 for a driver head. I'm looking at a Blue GD 7.5 for the 3 wood now. Thanks Matt

Hyperventilating... You are correct, I meant grams
lightrider
You also have to factor in the weight loss of shortening the shaft. That will put the shaft weight into the 60s.....
Guest
Yeh, I'm not going to do it. Matt

Eveleth
I play the GD CP-02 (X-flex) in my TS X-Drive 350 and my TM R510 TP. Best shaft I've ever used period, in fact I'm pulling the Fuji 757 Speeder on my TM R7 Quad TP, as soon as it comes in and installing a CP-02. It would seem a little light and an tad bit to active for a Fairway Wood, but it is a killer combo in a Driver.

Eveleth
FAQ, talk to Joe Kwok, he can get you one. In fact I just e-mailed Joe about getting another CP-02 as a backup for my R7 Quad. If he has them in-stock he can get it to you in a couple of days. If he has to order one from overseas it might take a couple of weeks. I asked Graphite Design why they don't offer the CP-02 to US Customers, they said the Shaft was developed for a Specific Japanese Golf Retailer and it's only offered in Japan. But it is one of the most popular shafts in Japan so Joe should be able to get one for you.
