Breal
What is the best ball you think besides the pro v because we all know that is a great ball what do you think is better?
CLMelton
Maxfli Revolutions (both EXT and Tour) are great.

xxio
I like to experiment with Japanese balls once in a while. I can get grade AAAs really cheap with all the Japanese Tourists playing at the mountain/ravine course I frequent. I have been playing the TS X01 and X01s a lot lately. I still play the TS <ux> =U Tri extra dist and TS <uxs>=U tri tour as my "everyday" ball. I got a lot of the PRGR Trx, the new Kascos with the Silica tech, and the Xr05 to try next but hurt my shoulder and won't be playing for at least two weeks. Before I got hurt though the PRGR ball was up to par with the TS X01 in every category but I noticed the dimple design was very "old school". Lots of big dimples. I'll give a review on different Japanese premium balls when I get better.
wongyew
I have tried many different balls - from Srixon Soft Feel, Precept U-Tri ED and Tour, Maxfli A10 etc... but I have always gone back to the Pro V1!
xxio
I used to be all Pro V all the way especially the X. The Pro Vs especially the Xs fit me well. I just didn't like that they felt the same on all shots, the good ones and the bad ones. I would be like "Wow, I think I caught that one." and be disappointed when I got to the fairway. The earlier models also had that "flyer over the green from the middle of the fairway from out of nowhere." that seemed to happen during important matches. That when I switched back to Srixon and Precept/Nike. I just wish the Prcepts had a bit more of the Titleist feel. I love that Titleist feel, the only "modern" ball that comes close would be the Srixon Hi brid and the A10.
PxExG
I actually quite liked the Nike ONE when I played it. Havnt found too many of them over so I will have to see. Might wait for the release of the One Black.

It seemed like every ball would feel great off of the club but the results weren't what they felt like. Some shots really nice while others were really off. With all of the new balls out now I've found a lot of balls that have the performance and durability of the ProV's and a much better cost. Breal
Is the tour stage balls just like the prcept balls like the X-01 and the X-01s like the tour premium ls and the U-Tri tour??
Links2131
HX tour or the Titleist Professional(if you can still find it) But I'll stick to my free pro vs

Links2131
I actually quite liked the Nike ONE when I played it. Havnt found too many of them over so I will have to see. Might wait for the release of the One Black. last year during the first round of our home event I switched over to the One for the round. I thought it was decent, very accurate ball, but i just didnt like the way it felt around the green. Maybe the new versions of it will be good. xxio
Is the tour stage balls just like the prcept balls like the X-01 and the X-01s like the tour premium ls and the U-Tri tour?? The previous batch of balls the U tri extra distance was the TS UX diamond, the U tri extra spin was the UX arrow, the U tri Tour is the UXs. The X01 and X01s ball don't have US counterparts yet. They usually show up in the Precept line almost a year later. So maybe by the end of the 6year. They should keep making the Tour Premium LS though just like they should've kept making the Nike Tour Accuracy TW. Those were 2 really really good balls. Backspin9
I'm surprised there's not more love for the Bridgestone or Tourstage balls. I switched to the B330 (from a ProV1) and couldn't be happier. I'd love to try a Tourstage ball if they were more readily available and I knew which one was right for my game. TurboSport
It's the same as asking what is the best driver out there. The best should be the most fitting! Today's Golfer tested 48 balls from premium to budget. A very interesting read. Balls are tested by a pro, a high and a medium handicappers. Short game spins as well as long drive ones are measured. Over 4000rpm is considered good for short games around the green and just over 2000 rpm for long drives are preferred. Yet better is an article about ball fitting. There are four players who were analyzed to see whether the balls they are using match their playing characteristics. A high handicapper was told to switch out of the Pro V1 because it creates higher spin then necessary so his slices were exaggerated. A skilled golfer was recommended to change to Pro V1x from V1 to reduce the spin both on the long drive as well as the short games. Another test in blindfolded feel test on balls. Use putter without inserts and strike the ball blindfolded. Which has the best feel? Also cover the ears with earphones so the sound will not influence the feel. I learned something new.
