putterboy
XoMartel, I think he paid between $15-$20 per head. Not much! Plus the finish is powder coated so it will last longer than chrome. The finish will probably add more bite as well. Not sure if there is a TSG discount but you could always regisiter at FGI, GEA or greatgolfdomain and then call Jim and ask for the discount

I dont know this for fact but it just makes sense that the powdercoat would finish quick. In regards to black finishes I say Gauge Teflon lasts the longest then Clevelands Gunmetal. PxExG
that powder finish - great looking finish but I have heard it looks great and holds up on a driver (less contact with ground) but on an iron not so much.

I would have thought a powder coat finish would be stronger than a chrome finish.
aflac
Is the J340 a foamed head? I've heard varying opinions. If not, I'm planning to send it to CCC. If it is foamed, can anyone recommend a refinisher? Thanks.

I sent it to golfpsychos and should have it back any day. I'll post pics whenever I get it.

zip7111
In regards to woods your way off. Show us one pic of the work Max does that can even come close to what Jim can do. I think you need to look at the pics below to really get a feel of what Max's work looks like Chris. Those pics from their site dont show how good his work really is. If you tell me those refinished TM woods arnt up to par then you need to think again. joey3108
On the wood is not a hard thing to do. Technique of painting or refinishing bead are the only thing makes the result good or not. Bead blast finish are depending on bead we are using to blast it evenly. Bake powder coating is the only way to go on repainting golf club ( woods mostly), other than that is depending on how good the person mix the paint to get a certain result. last but not least on this is patient. Finishing wheel are the key for the expose metal finishing. Most rechrome job IMO are good only cosmetically, The biggest problem/question on this issue are whether they can maintain/retain the original weight as much as possible, however the existing condition of the club is another key of result that often be forgotten. My biggest problem doing all this stuff is that i have to rely on a subcontractor that has an attitude "doesn't care on how the result gonna be because it's not mine, let's just make it look good only", And a lot other isssue off course. Just my 2 cents! Joe

I sent them an email over a week ago and still have not heard back. I'm sure they are really busy with the all the tours being in full swing.
