I'm looking for some recommendations on a USGA non-conforming driver. I would like to buy one and play around with one to see if I can notice any difference. Looking for something that is HOT & affordable. Thanks!

BTW, I love all the info & pics this place has!!!!!!

Try a XXIO Twinsole AX driver - if you don't mind a closed face. I guarantee you will notice a difference. Can be found cheap on Ebay - just sold mine for about $100 to a member here.

975 JVS Hi Cor or maybe now the 983K Hi Cor (E is not made)

R300 Tour are on closeout in SE Asia. NEW around $210 for the YS6/Mitsu shafts and $240 for the ones with the 757. Doesn't feel tinny as most non conforming drivers.

First, get one that is NOT on the non-conforming list. Then it's up to you and your definition of "legal". So you know, there are many, many models that are non-conforming and NOT on the list. That said, XXIO 350cc is very long and straight. I used it until it was placed on the list. That would be my suggestion and the prices are very good right now. For cheap, I used a Wilson PF420st with a Fuji Six that was incredibly long. I am presently using a model by an American company that is NOT TM, Titleist, Callaway that is working the best for me. I am not saying the model as I wouldn't want it placed on the non-conforming list from raising eyebrows here. But that one is also long, straight and cheap.

Taylormade CTi Driver is very long and forgiving. Id really like an 8.5 with  a 60g aftermarket shaft.

So what would a driver like that set me back??

Its a 460cc head with a carbon crown the shape is more XR05-03-R7 style, Its high hitting and the 8.5 plays like a 9.5 but with a tipped Fuji 569 or 661 or perhaps a Graphite Design W60 this driver is a killer. retail on a TM CTi is over 110,000yen. The shaft cant be custom ordered by TM so I suggest you find a pull to save $$$.

Dual function driver - play golf with it and then when tired of it, remove the crown and use as a pot (crown could also serve as a frying pan) - this thing is huge!

X-drive 350s are selling at very reasonable prices. Probably not that 'hot' but its probably my favorite driver. Or try Cobra Unlimited Series- very hot faces these have.

XR-03 also available in the market with reasonable price.

I think the head size is perfect for me. Shaft might be a bit whippy but if you SS is not exceed 105, TM plus S or X should be OK

Oh yeah I forgot about the XR03. That is on major clear out. Something like $155 new. And it's not that game improvement. The 8.5 X flex I had was a very good "players" club. Square face played like a YS 6 X shaft.
