Posted August 2, 200420 yr Hard Core! Thats right some of the heads of the Gauge Japan putters and Irons have a Teflon coating, same durable material as whats coated on pots and pans to withstand heat, I have played about a dozen rounds with my blacks and the finish is almost perfect. hitting big iron shots out of fairway bunkers is what has show tiny wear on the sole but other than that this finish has some major durability.
August 2, 200420 yr Thats an awesome finish, does gauge do the teflon or did you send them out somewhere to get it done?
August 2, 200420 yr Can't wait to get mine  Then I'll have an all black finish set of clubs
August 2, 200420 yr These beauties may be the only clubs that could replace the Z101's. Totally Awesome.... Are these custom order only?
August 3, 200420 yr Author Chris,Does the black Teflon take away from the feel of the clubs? The Teflon does put a muted feel at impact but its something I like 100%. The finish is flawless smooth black every where and these are special orders taking about 3-4 weeks. good news is any shaft installed.
August 5, 200420 yr Chris, Is this black teflon finish something that can be applied in the future as a re-finishing job to an existing GD iron owners with satin finish? :-D
