I have had retail R7s since march as well as extra weights so I pretty much know exactly what weight setup I wanted in my TP. I selected 2x2g weights on the toe end side and a 4 & 14g weight on the heel to promote a draw but keep the head weight as light as possible.

I find the shaft stout for an untipped club. It is not like the 757 or other U.S TP shafts that play soft, IMO it plays strong. 72g 2.2 torque 45" Graphite Design I-65.

R7 Tour 10.5 Fuji 569 TourSpec 6-13-8-4 (heel to toe)

14-8-2-4 to get a low draw. Swingweights at about D5.5 so I like my drivers nice and heavy. Needed the heavy weight up front because I hit the ball too high with the 9.5 Want to switch to an 8.5 or maybe a new shaft cuz I hit the 9.5 just a tad too high. That's the great thing about the r7...you can essentially control the ballflight without changing to a new driver.

Heel to toe 2 - 10 - 10 - 12, Chris you might think the shaft plays strong because you've reduced the headweight so much. When you reduce the SW down to sounds like C9 or so, the shaft doesn't flex as much and probably plays stiffer.

right now, mine is (heel to toe) 12-4-2-8

A little heavier SW and a low, draw bias. Working pretty good right now.

I have mine set up for neutral, low launch. (2) 2 grams up front. (2)12gr in the rear.

This is the finest driver i have ever hit.

Well had my first range session and I've discovered that my weight configuration combined with a heavy shaft makes for a VERY heavy driver. A little too much so. I tinkered around with the weights and I think I've found a fairly semi neutral setting which works for me

2 - 8 - 2 - 10

The weights really do affect ball flight I really was impressed. I don't think I'll be changing it before every round, in fact I'm hoping to keep this setting for a while, however I could see possibly switching the 10 over to the heel in case my fade becomes a slice...

I love the fact that I have OPTIONS!!! That's the whole damn reason I keep buying new clubs! So as much as I hate to throw money at Taylor Made, I must admit that have developed a driver that finds the fairway. It aint' the prettiest driver out there. It definitely ain't the best feeling driver either. I can't deny the results however. If you are like me where the rest of your game is solid, but you have trouble getting off the tee, you might want to give the R7 a look. Either that or wait for the Fusion with weight configurations or the mag cruizer...

Where can I buy different weights for my r7. In the US it only comes with 2 and 10. I want to play around with it and I need to get 6, 8, 10 and 14.

I have the standard setup - 2's in front and 10's in back. Shaft is Fuji TourSpec 693TR. I may switch to the draw setup in awhile, but for now I am keeping the setup neutral while I fine tune my swing.

I just got mine Friday and haven't had time to play around with it, will let you know what I come up with.

I proably won't go over 24 grams of weight in the head as I want to keep the shaft at stiff flex, any more weight than that and I think the shaft will start playing too soft.

Now the fun begins.

I'm playing it for a mild draw with 10 and 10 in the heel with 2 in the toe and 10 on the inside toe.

9.5 Speeder X, 14-6-2-2, it's a wonderful low to mid draw.

Heel to toe 14, 10, 6, 2 - nice heavy club with a gentle draw - I love this driver :cool:
