+TourSpecGolfer
Here are pics of the new GAF1 Gauge Japan fairway woods. Its got the sole of a V-Steel, rear cut away like the FST, miraging face of an Olimar, and profile of the BBD type H. I first put pics up after the golf fair in Tokyo early this year and its design and performance features have now been meshed successfully. I have hit 3 different versions of GAF1 and Its been refined and course tested then stress tested and finally tested to make sure it performed noticeably better than the BBD Type H... and now it DOES! The GAF1 I had last month did not perform like the production spec model just released, It is flat out a killer and whats even more crazy is their will be 100 Tour Spec ( Japanese Market ) and yes Tour Spec as in TSG with a Custom killed leading edge grind done by the owner himself :surprize: After a year in the making these second generation FW's are ready and the Tour Specs are available with the finest shaft options. Take a look at the grind pics. please note that the grinded head has not been re painted yet. notice the killed leading edge on the left Its really got a weird effect on the club visually, the grinded head makes it feel as you can see less of the face with your eyes almost like its lower in loft or delofted. The retail version may be better for you but I would highly suggest the custom grind for people with steeper swings or who's course has harder turf conditions. Its a FW for the better player yet not that demanding. Price ? :-D Shaft Options? Guest
Only just realized that they're weighted at D0. Wonder what it will come out at with a Fuji 869 Tourspec.
+TourSpecGolfer
Only just realized that they're weighted at D0. Â Wonder what it will come out at with a Fuji 869 Tourspec. D0 with the 50g stock shaft that isn't in stock yet, I will only order these with high end Fuji's or Gd's for the TSG'rs, i have hit the proto graphite design by gauge and its too light and ball goes high so I'm not going to even sell the GAF1 with that shaft. Godfather1
How much will it cost with nippon 1050 shafts, and when will they be available.
+TourSpecGolfer
How much will it cost with nippon 1050 shafts, and when will they be available. If you want that shaft it shouldn't be a problem. Heads up guys these FW's will be sold out as soon as GD Japan gets their Gauge Graphite Design FW shafts. I am able to buy as many as we need for about another week, then when their shafts come in all the stores will be shipped the orders they made and GD will have none for a month or so. Royal Collection loyalists are already making the switch on the JPGA, In regards to performance it is a clear winner over the BBD type H and I strongly suggest RC BBD owners to put it to the test against the H. An overwhelming positive response has come in from the E.T.G.A and the J.G.T.O and my best guess is there will be a large back order coming soon. Guest
Chris, Do they make 15* 3 wood? Do you have any other updated news yet? Thanks, Bomb
hornyjuan
Only 14*, 16*, 18*, 20* You could probably have it bent 1* if it really messes with the gaps in your clubs. I might wait to see how the tourspec grind does as I have the stock GAF1.
