August 25, 200420 yr comment_54209 IMHGO, Japanese chrome finish are better than almost any one out there. It's not they ( US Finishing plant ) don't know how to do it but it's more of a technical reason ( EPA regulation ). China finish is catching up very quickly too. They have to if they want to get a contract from OEM. So finish can hide what is under neath it. THe look of the club can be damn awsome but I won't say anything till I hit one my self. So the best way is to demo them your self. Some of us can tell right away but some need time to be able to tell...even some can't tell at all! Design and look is another story. This is the part that is quite sensitive IMO. Not every body is the same. Pictures can be deceiving but without one is even worst. I've seen and tried "most" of them out there, I can tell you how they look and i can tell you what i like but i will never suggest anything. Good Luck! Joe

August 26, 200420 yr comment_54305 what about miura japan, perhaps the softest and sweetest feeling irons i have ever hit. Miura Japan buys it from Himeji, that I'm sure of.

September 17, 200420 yr comment_56695 What JK said, Looks can be deceiving. For me though it's TourStage & Miura but I have not written off others possabilities.
September 17, 200420 yr comment_56713 I think the Bridgestone J's are some of the best irons of all time. I love the weapons.
September 28, 200420 yr comment_57949 best irons prob would either be zodia's with custom lofts and shafts or prgr's irons are pretty sweet also! ball feels very soft leaving the face on both iron sets!. muria's are the best in my opinion though! muria tm tour issued cb's or mb's def take the cake if you can get enough dough togeather to get a set made to your specs. also like the us spec bridgestone tourstage mr-23!!! with project x's in them really kick ass! :surprize:
September 29, 200420 yr comment_58050 Don't you guys think that the question for this Forum is not, "what is the best forged iron" , but "what is the best forged iron today" or maybe this hour? As you all know.... this is truly the flavor of the week. I can remember when the MR-23's were the holiest of "holy grails" and nothing could compare. I have seen this forum go from Miura's to Tourstage and back again to now it is PRGR and yesterday afternoon it was Mizuno Japan, and an hour from now it will be Gauge Design and an hour after that... Hiro Matsumoto. Do you guys see any real consistency on this topic over the last year or is it just me? I know what is the best forged iron. It is the one currently in your bag. If anything... I find a lot of this stuff very confusing! It is also like buying a computer... an hour from now it is obsolete. Buying irons which is as expensive if not more expensive than a computer is a huge risk if you are a club ho like most of us on this site. I am half afraid to buy anything. I usually buy my clubs with the idea that when I wanted to move on with my next set.... I would just throw my old irons on the BST forum and someone here would be interested. Not the case. It has to be the right flavor.. and like mentioned earlier... it changes hourly. Do you see the pattern? Try taking a set of MR-23's to your local "2nd Swing" shop here in the states and see what they will give you for them. They never heard of them. You can imagine what they offered me!
September 29, 200420 yr comment_58109 Gee, when's this forum been pro PRGR? I've always seen the forum as pro Miz, TS vs anything else. That said, I just moved from J Dunlop (the real #1 in Japan, NOT Miz, Bridgestone) to PRGR after getting the 900 series forged irons. They're incredible and I couldn't be more surprised nor impressed.
