I really like Srixon and XXIO but I'm going to stick to conforming drivers. So I was very curious about the new Srixon W403 just launched in the US. Actually looks similar to the new XXIO...go figure. But when I checked the specs, the driver is stated as being between 2.5* and 3.5* closed! No way could I hit that...too bad.

Anybody has played this driver?

Where you get that info for the driver specs? I went on their website and it shows picture only. I want to find out if 8.5 or 9.5 has less * closed. Thanks.

You actually have to go to the fairway woods link. The specs for driver and woods are listed there;

Same with the W404... the more loft, the more they close the face! I believe the 10.5 was 3 or 3.5 degrees closed. Maybe 2.5 closed for the 9.5. So, despite being a very nice looking head, I will not be getting one.

I contacted the Srixon Tour rep and I am able to get W404 Drivers with Square, Open -1 or Open -2

These Drivers take an extra 2 weeks and come from the Tour van with a really nice selection of shafts

Only problem is they are Non conforming Hot face drivers.
