Been reading a lot about inserting wooden dowels into the shafts of your clubs to dampen vibrations. It's supposed to soften the feel of the clubs and make contact more solid. Does anything have experience with this? Is it worth it? Thanks!

I came across a thread about Wood Bros putters and the guy had this to say: Some "Wood Bros Bench Mark 60s putters (5 models) - hand forged by Japanese Samurai sword maker. You can see the layers of metal used to make the heads with very close examination. Like persimmon woods, the edges of the multiple layers are stacked up the face of the putter - creating the strongest head and also best feel. There's a discussion of the Japanese sword maker, Mr. Takagi, now near 100 yrs old and still playing golf, who hand made them on Page 9 of my Wood Bros collection thread. Maybe 20 examples of 5 different styles were made. Most sold in Japan and almost never seen. I've been collecting them for 30 years and have bought every one I've ever found. Dave Wood doesn't even own any. BTW - the putters are grooveless faced - don't need grooves - super soft and instant roll off the face. Anyone ever hear about or try one of these?

Has anyone hit these? They're similar to the MP-18 (US model) but they have a copper layer which the US model does not. Let me know if you've hit them.

Heard they're good but basically like everything else. I could be wrong though.

I have the 2015? Type V driver. Other than a slightly closed "looking" face, it's a phenomenal driver. Only other small criticism would be it tends to spin a little too much into a head wind. Long and straight and forgiving though. Had the last model 3 wood too. Long and super forgiving. Spun too much for me though.

For me, Ryoma makes the best combination of distance with forgiveness that I've ever used. There may be longer (not sure what) and there might be more forgiving (not sure what) but I haven't seen anything that has both of these qualities, to this level.

Epon is s**tty stuff? That's a first. It might not be the undisputed "best" anymore but I don't think s**tty is how I'd describe them. To each their own though.
