  2. hehe tempting but il keep the egg:) wanna trade ? got some epon 208 kgx 60s in copper and black brand new. all i need is the 56
  3. cool! update you soon. i was there on summer last year. unfortunately was there for only 2 days, spent most of my time in Edinburgh, if my wife did not have her way i would have spent most of the time on whiskey tours!
  4. sure that would be cool. im from manila, P.I. and its easier to get jdm clubs here than single malt. if you have access to ardbeg lets trade!
  5. the epon 3 wood is no longer in the bag, i replaced it with a 17deg egg. epon feels better but the egg is just as long and easier to hit and its a 17! scary to think how much further the 15 would go but it would prob be a tad more demanding so im not even going there. had the 15 egg too but traded it before i even gamed it on the FW. @ supo, still confused with the woods??? though i would have to pry the eggs fom your cold dead hands?
  6. loving them! i find them much smaller than my 502s
  7. i noticed thats as well. in my experience the shaft also conforms to your swing, its like it has dynamic adaptable suspension:) swing it soft and it conforms, swing it faster and it becomes rigid! there is no flex, this is where i think the variable kickpoint comes in? i had a senior player hit my wedge with this shaft, he commented that it felt really good but heavy. he did not comment on stiffness, yet a guy with a driver ss in excess of 115mph will finf the shaft fine
  8. realy looking forward to your review! first person in asia i know to game and have those shafts. unless of course your friend in the P.I. still has them. did you get the S or X flex? i wonder what else is in that mancave. have any sakai knives?
  9. yeah my brother bought me a bottle of high end whiskey, i forget the brand could be suntory im not sure but he made a mistake of handcarrying it. confiscated and thrown in the trash! i would have chugged it right in front of the security person if that was me.
  10. no problem! the joys of the internet indeed! i have to order all the good single malts from the opposite end of the world as well:)
  11. photos from my pre injury bag pre october 2010. only thing the same is the driver head and the wedge heads. from witb may 17 2010 Well pretty much everything is the same in my bag. have been using the 502s with the nspro protos for about 1 month, 502s almost 7 months. Adams pnt 2 20* w oban revenge 85x. do note i added a ton of lead on the cavities on the sole to bring up desired SW. also replaced my af901 25* w a af701. also replaced my 3year old shinagawa with a yamada 8802 style razor. whats new is the new 202ht 15* w oban 85 and a 54/58 210kgx combo. will update you as new gear is tossed around. 12. NEW as of 1/17/2013 so the 302s are a week shy of being 1 year old:( DRIVER: YAMAHA INPREX XV440 DI7S 4w: Yamaha IFF 17* DJ7S 20* Adams pnt 2 tour proto Ozik altus white s 3-pw Epon personals 3-pw Nippon prototype DP-s 52/58 Yamaha inpres xv DG spinner +/non plus Epon Zen putter updated 7/15/2011 the bag replaced the royal collection 3 wood with a ping k15 3 wood shafted q quattro md but am pulling the shaft in favor of quattro green 75s also changed my driver and am bagging a smaller 380cc epon with gd 9003 shaft. this combo blows away anything i have tried. long and super forgiving. non conforming though. this replaced an epon 102 w fire express 65s royal collection wedges 52/58 protos # 77/500 bettinardi ss6 in all its borealis glory more pics of the epon 302s in the afternoon sun, streaks you see on the cavity are swirls from a wet rag, they will come off clean.
  13. here are some pics of my desecrated club!
  14. yeah you did warn me, in fact most of my woods have tape on the lip of the crown to prevent these from happening. as in all my woods. its the first wood i did not put this precaution on and boom bang bing it happens. kinda demoralizing, i know its only cosmetic but i feel my club was raped! dunno but it ruined my day. still pains me to think of what happened. feel like selling the club and getting a new one:) oh well til the new egg comes out in a couple of years!
  15. need heads guys if youve got any let me know. thanks!
  16. have you found one? i am thinking of selling mine. i am considering buying another driver head, if that deal pans out i may opt to sell my 102. let me know if youve found one. mine is .5 open but weighs around 198grams
  17. those covers were not epon covers. i sold the black and brown covers that were epon with gold threading. the white ones were not epon.
  18. wow what a timely repost! i actually am looking for the same 52/56 combo heads only for my main set. if anyone has any that wants to trade for some epon wedges or a flat out sale let me know. have a 208 satin kgx 50 head used and a 208 60 deg new head just laying around
  19. I agree with supo! the egg is all that! just remember too tee the ball real low for off the tee hits. i made the stupid mistake of teeing it higher. from address i knew something was wrong. was thinking of sjyballing it , i pictured myself really doing it. i shrugged it off and just hit the damn thing.i dont know why i did not lower the tee, i guess i was lazy. skyball is exactly what happened. my perfect, pristine egg has a gash in the center. what the hell was i thinkin. havent sky balled a wood in years!! on the fairway the egg is stellar no complains, i will just never ever use a tee again off the tee box!
  20. yeah i can imagine those to be priced in proportion to those crazy and quadra shafts. wouldnt be surprised if a finished driver was more than 150,000Y
  21. i had the older 101, that already paired with a low launch low spin shaft was crazy! but i found that like with all drivers the shaft selection is the KEY. tried many shaft combos but never found one that worked well with the 101 so i stopped using it in favor of the 151. that was my favorite driver shafted with an oban devotion shaft. i really loved that combo very much. long, straight and low spin. that changed though when i got my 102 almost a year and a half ago. i havent changed driver since but have had 3-4 shafts in the head. had the oban devotion, oban kiyoshi, and lastly the GD tour ad di. out of all the shafts i tried with this head the hands down winner is the DI. i find it to be the perfect shaft for this particular head. oh i forgot to mention, its the stock upgrade shaft from epon:) they definetly have something right going this route. nice high carry and lots of roll! not difficult to launch the ball at all considering it is very low spin. i had major difficulty launching the oban kiyoshi which has the same high launch low spin characteristics. the head of the 102 is a beauty, nice, round and compact. dont let the deep face discourage you though. considering this is for the stronger hitter its really easy launch and very workable. i use the 10.5 and couldnt be happier. Feel is also much better than the 101. As niimi san mentioned, it feels like the older persimmon woods from way back. well ive never tried those legendary woods but if they feel anything like the 102 then they are very soft. less metallicy than the 151 and 101. as for the IP , i thought all the while that the only difference was the black coating, did not realize based on the comments above that there was more added aside from the color.
  22. can we have more info on those heads? have never heard of rymoa and quelot thanks.
  23. just changed my wedge shafts to the tour issue s400s, coming from the nspro protos x flex i find that the s400s are just better in the full shot department. i have never used a brand aside from the nippons for the wedges such as wv, 1150 and protos. the protos were very good but they tended to move left as skipper has just mentioned. feel was superb but i never did figure why they would move left. even with my post injury swing i noticed the ball would move a touch left. with the s400 Ti they are less pronounced than the nspro. love making low check shots with this shaft, the only nspro shaft i was consistently able to do this with without having to semi punch were the sp blues.
  24. actually your comments are spot on but i would have to disagree on the feel aspect based on my personal experiences. Feel is subjective, i actually loved the flight of the kbs with the exception of the feel. i found it to be boardy, ( i am the minority ) most of my friends actually love the kbs. have been an nspro users for the last 3 years and i have yet found a shaft that will compete with the feel of the nspro. it may not be the perfect shaft if your looking for an angry lower trajectory but they have heavier lower launching models such as the sp blue. NP has also launched the modus 3 shafts in the usa, im very excited to try those ones having tried their protos but found them heavy at 130+ i have just departed from nspro this came about from my injury and am playing golf again but have made a lot of swing changes, i have a flatter swing now , never liked the dgs but they are really working now. nothing has changed but my swing and that has changed the way i look at this shaft now. so in order of preference i still like the NSPRO, DG then kbs a distant 3rd. just waiting til i can get my hands on those modus 3s!
  25. try them in the course for a more accurate feel in real world conditions and better balls. i havent tried the x100 in a fairway but i have tried a s200 fw in my hyrbid and 5w and they were very good. naturally you will lose distance but the dispersion is there. now its up to you if you are willing to live with that. lost interest in those and briefly shifted to the nspro 950fw. those were significantly better. still have my 5w shafted with that but i have since traded my 5w for a 19* hybrid. would use the hybrid graphite anyday over the steel shafted fw/hybrid. youl never know though til you try it in the course for real.
