What's more beneficial- fitted clubs or Tour
;rofl that is soooo true, i wonder why stuff fitted to me doesnt go for that much?

uh oh, my only import might get the boot...............
ive got a black leather kzg staff bag, i saw it at a local shop and asked why it was there since that shop doesnt carry kzg. the owner said that he used to be a dealer but stopped carrying them since no one would spend the $ for them. where i live, everyone wants cheap, they dont care how good it is, they just want cheap. so now he pretty much only carries no name components. the conversation actually started when i came in to get the gemini reshafted and handed him the fujikura i wanted in it. i thought he was going to cry. he said he doesnt see high caliber stuff very often, since he cant move them he doesnt stock them. its a shame. anyways, i got the bag brand new for $50.

uh oh, my only import might get the boot...............
i snagged a tourstage club-x a while back with an NV/H shaft and i really want to love this club, looks great, hit good, just plain cool. but, along comes the kzg ch-1 driving iron (19*) this thing is a smoker! it hits in the same distance range as the club-x and i have more control over it. so now im in a pickle- keep the club-x, i really do like it and its just plain cool- or carry the kzg, i hit it better (even though it cost $20!) but i dont hit either very often. my solution?????????? if i carry both i still have 14 clubs in the bag, so i guess they can share the duties and ill let the shot dictate as to which one gets the call.

opinions about the TM Lehman grinds or 300 tour irons?
i think it all depends on what you want them for. if you want an expensive rare set of irons, go for it. nothing wrong with being a connoiseur. on the other hand, if you think you need them to play better, youre sadly mistaken.

Fujikura news letter

compressed air grip intallation ?s
what i do is; i have a gun attatchment for my air compessor that has a nipple that slips into the vent hole on the butt end of the grip. to install a grip i insert the nipple into the butt of the grip, fit the tip end of the grip onto the shaft and give shots of air. the air fills the shaft and builds pressure, there is nowhere for the air to go except out of the tip end of the grip. this causes the grip to expand slightly before the air is expelled, allowing the grip to be slipped further onto the shaft. two or three shots and the grip is seated, once in place you can give more air to manipulate the final position of the grip. when using build up tape i have been misting it with an alcohol/water sotution to aid in lubing the larger size butt. to remove just insert the nipple back into the butt and give shots of air while pulling the grip off. to remove a grip thats taped, i wrap it losely with clear packing tape (just what i had laying around) so the grip wont blow up like a balloon if the tape doesnt want to give. wrapping it loosely allows the grip to expand just enough to break the tape bond. i was just wondering if any shops use this method and why or why not?

compressed air grip intallation ?s
ya, i like being able to adjust the amount of build up tape. it allows you to fine tune instead of taking an "all or nothing" guess at it.

compressed air grip intallation ?s
from what ive seen so far - no mess, dont have to cut grips off, dont have to buy tape and solution (just masking tape for build up), you can change grips at will, much faster, the only trouble ive had so far is, the 1st time i did it i used too much pressure and frayed the tip of the grip. ive only used this method with rubber grips, i havent tried it with winns.

compressed air grip intallation ?s
ive been using the compressed air method of installing and removing grips for the past month with no problems. any club builders had negetive experiences with this method compared to the tape/solvent method?

tour or import, what floats your boat?
this what turned me off on tour equipment, i thought tour stuff sounded cool at 1st but then i realized that if it wasnt set up to me then it wasnt any better than retail. the score is neck and neck so far.

tour or import, what floats your boat?

tour or import, what floats your boat?
what do you guys find more interesting? ive never really been interested in tour stuff but the japanese equipment is a real turn on. for me at least. not real big on the cor+ drivers but the irons, wedges, putters, and accessories are to die for.

nakashima golf
the nakishima stuff looks good, but i wouldnt order one without trying it 1st. just being a priced component isnt enough to make me bite. not a knock against them but they just arent proven yet. lots of hype so far but theyll have to be in circulation for a little while before we know for sure if they are the real deal.
