  1. Finally! I have been looking for these for a couple of months now. I didn't want to order from somewhere else.
  2. I thought the black plastic thing (the TPU I guess) was the tunite insert. I'll go check the Callaway site. Still it doesn't make sense to me. Especially putting the spring face steel on the face where you would get "feel" the most. I would guess though they now who they are targeting with these. The previous cast Callaway better players. Cast with better feel I guess.
  3. Forged +Tunite insert? Doesn't make sense to me, but whatever Callaway thinks will sell I guess. Let me say however the ERC Fusion irons on looks, size, and shape alone seems to have been targeted at the 10-16 hdcp crowd which makes it an "almost" player's iron IMHO.
  4. Chris, I have blades that say S. Handa on them. Can you check who the guy is, if he is of any note?
  5. Chris, Stop! You're going to drive the prices up. I've been saving up for the blades and the 911 driver for a month now. I'm half way there. If only these guys on ebay would stop outbidding me by a few bucks when I'm not looking.

Yeah. I just looked at the PW. I didn't look at the others because it wouldn't make sense to have the Player's have stronger PW lofts and have weaker mid/long iron lofts? I wonder what the reasoning is behind that.

Most premium OEM Japanese castings are pretty soft. They mostly use "soft steel". I've tried the Honma and Maruman soft steel castings. They ding up pretty quick too.

I checked out the site. Strong lofts...and funny the Pro model has stronger lofts than the Pro II model which looks more GI.
  9. Chris, can you explain the different colored weights in the new gen XXIO driver. What is it for? What does it do? I'm thinking of picking one up, just to justify my hanging on to the username.

Get "tour grooves" done on the wedge you like the most. I have "tour grooves" on my Cally Forged wedges (tour issue) they have gotten me out of a lot of tight spots.
  11. Tell me more...manufacturer? materials? Also the PRGR player has quite a big gap between wedges 52 and 63? Wow I thought my 47-54-60 combo would be hard for some to adjust to.
  12. This is what I've been asking for in the Tour Talk forum. Since this is an import specialty site, more "import tour player's bag". I agree on Japan tour player's having more diverse bags and not getting much $$$ and pressure to play clubs. To the Japan OEMS the bag and hat seem more important than the clubs.
  13. Just copy the Honma Beres 415cc head, then sell it to me cheap.
  14. I agree with MGB. It looks very similar to the 06 XXIO. Surprisingly the new XXIO I saw was square. maybe it's time to go back.

Yup 10 yrs ago....prolite 35X fully inserted in a 975D. If I tried hitting that now it would go 200 yards.

Haha. Don't quit. Who are the members going to hit up here for big "unnamed company" discounts? I would love to see the screw/weight to be moveable as well. Despite some claims to MWT being snake oil, I have had experience otherwise. It changes feel and dynamics of the shaft/head combo just enough that it helps AND hurts.

I know you. Eventually the TW460 with ARMRQ Proto will be in my hands. You know it's a tad stiff, yet a bit high launch for you and PERFECT for me. I will be patient like a grasshopper.

It's a terrible shaft. I'll trade you a graffaloy prolite for it. :tsg_smilie_whistle:

Mack, I was under the impression they could be moved but not by us the consumer. Only Miz could do that, because IIRC they don't come with a screw?
  21. The Japanese love their neo mallets. Check out the Srixon Japan putters. Tad Moore had avalue line of neo mallets 2 years ago, Not bad pricing at all. They felt heavy. I just don't get along with all these double bend shafts.
  22. I know about the JAT. I tried one. I chose to buy a RJB BB16H instead. I'm RJB biased. Even my Napa was during the RJB period. I'm deciding between the Forged L or the Inspired by Sergio.
  23. Tai, Give me feedback versus your older Forged L. You can sell me that as well if you prefer the Pro L. Strange I thought the Jat would have more toe hang based on the address position.
  24. Forgot to ask. Is the Forged L similar to the Del Mar 3.5 or the JAT? The JAT seems to have more weight/mass at the toe based on where the curves start. Whereas the 3.5/BB16H seem to have a more balanced-proportionate curvature. It seems to be a bit mid-way between both in the picture.
  25. I know about the rarity of the "H"s. The thing is I have numerous pin prick size rust spots developing all over the putter. Really strange. It seems like the rust is on the inside and trying to eat it's way out. I'm having it stripped of the chrome this week and having it refinished in gun blue like my Oil Can Napa. I also plan to add a rear parallel white site line ala JAT. I will probably lose 10 grams from the entire process. The deciding factor is I only know of 2 Bett collectors in my country. The other is the guy I bought the BB16 from. So no resale value for me anyhows. I found a machine shop that will do the tungsten for me. I figure I can buy 340 mallet that is the Japanese version of the BB16 at the local store that is selling for US$280 if I screw this one up. Matt, From my brief discussion with the machine shop guy. He will be drilling maybe a little less than 1/4" deep and depending whether I want 2 small tungsten ingots per side or 1 bigger one I should be losing 15 grams. We will decide after the drilling out how much weight we will put back in. He says we can put more epoxy as the filler in the back of the hole if I don't want it that heavy. The more we talk about the more I'm having second thoughts. I might try it on a cheaper putter first, but I don't have any "cheap" carbon steel putters with me right now.
