  1. While I like and agree, I don't think it will come from Epon. Stew had it right with the TourStage 905 MB getting a touch softer and a tad thicker. Maybe Yamaha releases a blade....
  2. I don't think the hybrids limit workability, only tougher to keep it low… Where as a long iron is tough for me to get high trajectory… A driving iron and wedges matching the Personals would both be great additions... Agree on the loft on the soles in lieu of 3-P. Mfg would still play with shaft length to be able to claim distance gains, it would just be easier to spot...
  3. RC TRC 3wd shafted with GD F75 in S, head cover included asking $200 plus shipping and fees...
  4. Yonex Nextage Fairway woods 3 and 7 or 15* and 21*… Shafted with UST ProForce V2 75g in Stiff Gripped with GripMaster swingers top of grip are cut for balance certified weights(not included) Head only price same as shafted $180 130 shipped ConUS each plus fees… Factory covers included... 3wd: 7wd:

Surprised you're shedding this club, you speak so highly of it. What could have unseated it...
  6. Don't know the answer, but couldn't you build it with a Crazy shaft but set SW based on a choked down grip and give it a whirl that way?
  7. Shameless plug!!!!! I have a couple of sets in USDM BST with SP Blues in stiff. Think they are fairly priced....

Fair enough, although I frequently don't bring the driver to my home course. So some days your statement holds, some days just lacking the putter, 18* hybrid to 60* wedge all RR.... Intended to get a RomaRo putter but opted for one of the last Zens at TSG...
  9. Agreed that the weight can be material, but it also depends on location of the weight. Distributed over the length of the shaft it has an impact on stiffness and SS, towards or on the head it has a bigger change on head lag through impact and stiffness, while in the butt seems to just affect hand position. Or at least that is my impression of it...
  10. While I love your experiments, why not just carry a strong 3 wood or the Kasco in lieu of something like this? Or was this just for kicks?
  11. 12 different head/shaft combos, 20 if you count repeats...
  12. It can be more fun when it's dirty...
  13. Just don't make sub par contact... Problem resolved...
  14. I play a 38.5" 5 iron and have them shafted with UST TourSPX. Very nice combo. Have the Tour Attas in a set of RomaRo and think the Attas shafts have a more penetrating flight. Overall I think the combo will serve you very well...

Beyond smooth, can you describe the shaft?
  16. Would bending this to 62-63* make a good complement to a Yammie 52,58 combo?
  17. I don't think your issue is the head. While I agree that the loft and face angle will play a roll, your issue is more shaft driven. A low loft head with a high launch shaft and you'll have a tremendous ball flight... Any head you listed will perform for your needs but the wrong shaft and you'll hate it. Too loose and you'll make an open face hook more than a porn star, too low spin and no launch.... Figure the shaft first.... With your SS you might try a GD z9003 in X or a Crazy shaft In SX or X depending on which... Gocchin and Stew are probably best equipped to recommend though...
  18. You need to try them in some Miura BB.. ;)
  19. Got a Hogan Apex 50th blade sitting in my stash... Great driving iron, but I prefer the sissy utility club approach now...
  20. Mastaj, If it isn't too late for my $0.02... I would go with the club ghat stretches ability a little bit unless you intend to ho clubs like many of us on the forum. If it stretches ability, they will have a longer life in your bag since as you improve your game the clubs will still align with capabilities as a golfer...
  21. Congrats Spoon, enjoy them… And if not a frameable picture once mounted on Stew's wall would be nice too...
  22. You should give the RomaRo iBrid a try… Find that to be the right combination of hybrid and iron. To me a unique sound on impact but very communicative in feel… I feel like EPONFreak talking about RomaRo so much, but they have really impressed me this year... The other hybrids I have used all play like small headed FW, which I really like too. But as a 4 iron type club, well worth the test...
  23. Did you try adding weight to the head to loosen the flex a tad?

    Still only considering cavity backs?
