  1. Noit unhappy with what i have but not entirely convinced either the epon zero continues to cause me uncertainty more mentally than play wise i guess my 2 hideous outings with it recently got me thinking true on a good day its pererless on a bad ohgod hideous i call it shirley so iwas at my builders on wed and had a long discussulion about what i was expecting and wanted this to be the shaft in it is as good as any shaft on the planet in anyines club the crazy 80 ls noir an ultra control shaft with the best feel imaginable . At 45.25 inch tho i found out twice how difficult this can be at times so we decided on a different plan thw shafts i had laying about were the diamana x instiff70 and the bb6x originally the bb i had ear marked as it slight stiff and its the recomended shaft by epon however it had another calling so the diamana x 70s got the nod but at 44.5 inch d2.5 323 gram........, perfect specs had a waggle with it last night not only a great wagle but a great look!!!! The quality of this head can not be wasted so if this combo doenst improve then ill be lost for words id happily game the noir at 44.5 but that shaft is headimg back into the ryoma where it never should have come out of in the first place. The best driver for hitting stright there is .... Bar none! The second build was one id been contemplating for a long time what to put in the crazy 435? Id tried long light which was great but i hated butt hang o f 46 inch i tred ultra short heavy gdp9003x but thst is such a tough ask for anyone but the fastest swinger @9' and a 207 gram head ! it was just too much i wasnt able to get the most out of it. So tye gd bb6x got the nod bec id used the same shaft in a yamaha tour at 9' and has great success its not really an x flex and its light and higher launching but still low low spin the idea being with this i can get slight loft increase from the shaft while keeping the weight low and generating greater head speed the head keeps the ball really striaghtnot much carry really its all roll this is for hawaii and maybe today at shishido hills where the fairways are ultra thin. It came out320 gram and d2.5at 44.5 inch im quietly salivating at thisdriver im going to give it every chance to grab the bag spotover all and sundry whuch is a big ask considering the winneri sstill the yamaha tour cb50noir nothing has been able to usurp this yet on apermanant basis many are longe lower higher what ever but overall the yam gets the spotmost days im looking for thus driver to be straight unwirkable and long i wan to be abke to step on the gas and have uktra confidence i can get the ball to catapaukt stright with roll not looking for air balls here i want piercing driver im quietly confident this build will suit perfectly

    good combo! like ur thinking
  3. i didnt get t enough time i was sposed to sen him my 7 rion nad i LOST the fricken thing somewhere.. so i had to order a brand new miuraism 7 iron, which is provoing to be THE most infuriating prospect ive ever encountered in golf. i might give kari a call agn and see if he can work some magic for me ,, this one of yrs is delightful
  4. gee thats a top looking stick u got there. hope it rolls em wel lfor ya
  5. the 1006 arnt cavities. they are cut mucsle theres no cavity in them at all they are very much a big blade. they are very very good clubs, thin sole thin topl ine fat rouneded back largish heads really the new 1007 look magnificent , htye look a much easier stlye to play, shud suit heaps more guys than the 1006s id get the 1007 in a heart beat if i wanted new cavities now.
  6. gee dont they look somehing special

    hmmmm i guess ur right
  8. no 3 iron is fine i asked him that already
  9. ok the new build is going to be the modus tx 3 iron 120 shaft in x. as we discussed the fact that the ns sp blue was 126 gram shaft and although its tough to hit in feel, it performs brillinatly, un wind affected and although its quite heavy it didnt seem to affect my play what so ever . it was INFINITLY better feleing to play than the srizon uti with DG tour issue, that was rancid! and its not the srixon head, bec i just bought a 2-3-4 in those as well18* 20* 23* with ns 950 s steel. for those just in case... days will be ready for play sat, ill post my thoughts on sund.

im glad someone asked htis question bec i see scotty cameron putters here al the time for $ 5000 upwards. plenty of them , in fact my local shop stocks em a cpl are more than $10,000 i just look in amazment at what cud possibly make it that much idont get it. $ 750 ive spent a cpl of times and yea i can see the differnce in feel to a 50 buck one, but really i kicked my slf for that aswel, but $10,000 im lost here anyone ?? why ??
  11. yes my playing partner used them before he switched to miura. they are really soft but agn not my thing. the vg cavities have a distincetive shape to the neck which i love
  12. the never ending changing bag JUST got a big scare. irons. at some stage enought just becomes enough. after culling numerous drivers this yr to get to a manageable level, and its not just the heads( its actually the shafts i like to play with more than the heads ,) ive manged to get my palyable driver collection down to no more than playable level and hittable level for the range the iron sets tho have kinda gone a bit haywire. again its not just the heads its the shafts im more concerend with how can steel have this affect on a person???????????????????????????? so this is the bat cave as it stands, and it would seem that its reached its potential, theres somehting i havnt got yet that is being considered but this kinda suits... i cant see anything else getting added anytime soon srixon pro 100 blades are my best PERFORMING day in/out blades miuraism sb-01 /miura 5002 are way better feeling at impact, but prefer the srixon for now for workability im more intrigued with the 5002 than this isms right now, totally differnt shape a lot longer and thinner, with more offset thru the scoring irons. i love the look nad feel. these will see a ton of game time, and id think they wil be left in oz. these are utter classic blades and IMO a LOT better than the 5003 and miles better than the `1957s yes ive had them all before u ask.. that my op. then i have the new babies that i do beleive might end up a classic, the yonex ezones for mr ishiikawa, chiba ground (mystery forged). they do play brillinatly and..................... best with DG x100s never, ever did i ever think id say those woirds but its fact! i think these WILL become must have blades further down the track.if for no other reason other than they are so differnt to whast out there now, these are genuinly impressive blades to play, nothing ive hit are more workable but controllable at the same time . the heavier shafts are a MUST HAVE in these heads. slightyl thicker grip and nothing more needssaying, NOT the best feel, def NOT forged at ENDO thats very evident form the first hit, but on a short tight track ie a muirhead or dye track.., i wont take antyhing else out . the 2011 tourstage blades are similar to the ism in stature , the thinest of soles, but a bit clicky even thothey are endo forged, they have a slightyl differnt feel to say other endo clubs. thee design is THE best to look at of all blades. the modern look isperfect, they combined a more hittable, fogiving design into the tiniest of blades. its ultra impressive. once again. these will stand time, but alas i tink the TS oem evolution makes them obslete pretty quickly, TS def make a great line of x blade and the newest is def the best.. so... there are no more blades to be had. theres no point, the OBVIOUS MISSING LINK I CAN HEAR U ALL SCREAM is where the hell is yr mizuno!!!!!!!! yes.......................... thast been said before. ive tried, i have and the best ones i could muster, the mp-68s. didnt do it for me. yup impossible as it seems they are not my scene. i was a bit disconcerted , bec i cud easily seee lots of mizzzys, but alas they didnt suit. the srixons suited infniitly better. similar shape , srixons were muchbetter. the engines that drive all theseare ALL ns prototypes for mthe uber easy ORA to the molto molto ichiban heavy mofos the c10s and 2 fi4s. there isnt really anything that feels as dynamic as NS , and asmuch as ilove the shimada, the ns range just have this extra"thing" the X factor, the shafts are def NOTHING alike. thast hte beuty of them there really is a humongous differnce in steel, t 'thats just my thang" these blades account for 75+% of play time. but idont feel complete unless ihave some "just in casers" the cavity backs so heres my choices the miura cb1006-- and cb3002 TTmonacco shafted ,low launch, heavy , easiest best feeling cavities ive ever used. and the clubs ive hit my 3 lowest scores with in japan clubs. prob............... the only set i will NEVER sell . imight swap the shafts but as far as playability goes, just so simple, not for everyone the shape will not suit most but those it does, they easily become a one horse cowboy. not released to the US u see a heap of top girls here playing these bec they can be shafted with anything and theuy play so damn well. the nthe yamaha tours.. nothing need saying htere. and the yamah non tour form 2009, on spongy wet grass, oh brother point shoot! so it would seem my bag has ended its run....... perhaps the titleist vg 3 might be a consdieration later in life, these are destined for greatness, and i havnt hit them ,but iknow just by the shape they are tops. its a sad day.
  13. aparently thast my ethos.but if u ask my wife dear GOD ask her about that and ul get a differnt answer.!
  14. well if u go by the cpm numbers alone then thers no way i shud be going up to 8.2 flex in a cpl of shafts form 7.7 like the ls noir nad cb50 but thats just what ive done and it hasnt killed me. far from it most times. other times a 7.7 is too much depending on the head. i find , for instance, in a yamha tour i can handle the cb50 8.2 easy peasy but i struggle with a sigma 50 noir in 7.7. go figure? (even tho its shorter) the day i tested almost every shaft i had e in march i found the cb50 was the best fitted performing shaft for me at 8.2 its my gamer in the yammy tour and it wont be leaving that til next yr when the 2013 model comes out! and things liek the crazy 435 thee is NO way on earth i cud hit any shafts i have in it. it needs an entirely new stick @ 9.5* i haven t got one for it. of all my findings this last 18months with experimenting thres no magic formula. u like the shape of a head and u like the characteristcs of a shaft and hope they go together well. some thimes they do others they dont. ull only know this if u hit tons of differnt combos. i find thetriangle shaped ehads can handle antyhing, and the rounded fuller u need to come back a flex and go in loft , thats my general rule ie/eg taylor made burner tp form 2007 or 2008s best shaft is the quadra fire express.BAR NONE. its perfect bec u can get the thing over to the elft so easily and t he shaft keeps it from hooking, its a brillinat combo nad can use any flex in it. jbeam 435 box shape. light long longest yard 01 wa easily the best shaft i nthis head in 6.9 flex.. yup thasn like 3 flex under what i ususally hit and 1.25 inch longer, i dont get it,, but thast what was killer in 10.5*

    30 yards differnce???? honto?
  16. ive stil lgot a 6 iron for mthe egg iron series for ma cpl of yrs back wit ha ns 950 s in it really wide flange but ultra thin face , a differnt style of club goes really high and drops out of the sky 195-195 dead smack on the nose.. thats another laternate that i found works very well, really really high

im not sure if this is THE softest putter ive hit or not, but its in the final. absolutely delicious. $250
  18. got 2 keeping the shorter one fantastic syle putter if u like the triangle shape very stable, crisp feeling one of the best for short putts . $260 shipped
  19. the monacco dont look good the colour of the shafts and the copper head just clash. to much gold the crazy steel would be anothe excellent choice, but u wont be dissapointed with the SP blue esp in those heads. you need to get the ball down a bit bec they go so high.
  20. thast THE perfect shaft match for those heads.
  21. nope, that was the ilima
  22. oh dear thats one of th ecleanest bags ive ever seen those copper aftours i spy?? they develop so well, go a beautiful dark blue purple greeny colour , so good to look at lovey stuff...,!
  23. hmm yea i dug a cpl up idfogoteen about driver shaft 83s and 83x and 73 s in 3w and 5w id kept them as a spare bag for weary travellers. irem hitting them very well low to start then they kinda crept up, very soft feeling shaft, and very nice in faiway woods
  24. im gamine 2 and 3 irons agn now. but this is totally differnt stlye so much higher and shorter than a 3 iron and tisfalls dead. im really liking it, idontthink ti feels as good as the srixon or the epon but in between it just works for me.. esp. with a steel shaft
  25. well i used the purple one agian on sat at the range. i readjusted my thoughts from toilet to adequate , if u cant be asssssed messing baout with shafts then it will do. just if u can then im thinking a nice NS sp blue which is hte one i have in oz anyway suits well. or the modus 3 3 iron shaft migh be the tonic... thast the way in kinda going but i have to put a proto in it and it will be a 2fis as its high and dead striaght for the most. want this baby to fall on its target no real roll thanks its the 4 so thats prob 22-23* id think(?) its perfect for 200+- shots, perfect
