  1. Hey, is this Yamaha driver the one that cost over a million dollors in R&D, that was made for Ryo Ishikawa?

Aw come on gocchin! Can't I win one debate with you? (^_^) Sigh. Yes, the black and white DWD bag is very nice...there I said it :p Seriously though, I was just comparing the "limited edition" models of each bag. I know that DWD makes some really nice stuff, but to me, that LTD bag didn't do it for me. (-_-)
  3. Please don't say that gocchin. :( I don't want to go to a life of crime, just to own some of the best equipment on the planet. LOL! I'm sure I'll be able to let go of Bogey's stuff and give it back too him...very slowly, but I'd let it go. :p
  4. Bogeydog, where in MD do you stay man? I'm in the Temple Hills area! Saw you say 2ft of snow, and thought, "Wait a minute, I'll be getting 2ft of snow too! Where does this guy live?" LOL! Being as you hopefully live close by, I'd love to be present as your assistant, and help you with your testing. :p Seriously though, once I get my KZG stuff put together, I'd really like to play a round with a fellow TourSpec'er. And it'd be cool to see that Kamui in all of it's beautiful glory too. If I can't make testing, I'd love to hear your results as well.

Kamui makes irons!?!?!?!? I thought they just made Drivers and Woods. Great, another awesome set of clubs, that'll be in the $2,000 range because of their pursuit of perfection. Hold the phone! Just saw them and I have no need to worry, 'cause they're really not that pretty. :p Well, not like thier driver or woods anyways.

Good point gocchin! I should move me and the Mrs. to JP, and get a job there so I can afford their stuff. :p Man I envy you sometimes. Still though, if you want to compare them (which I'm sure you already have...) Miura's and WinWin's, golf bags look waaaaayyy better. DWD's looks gawdy to me though. Miura's WinWin's

Aw man, why you hatin'? LOL! I hear you, and understand your opinion. There are a few reasons why I am going with forged: 1.) I played with my Dad's old set of Golden Bear MacGregor's musleback's bad in the day. They rusted pretty good, but still played well. Plus, I still remember how they felt when I hit them pure. Made me really concentrate on good ball striking. Didn't hit them that well that often, but it made me try to make a good swing, so I could get that pure shot feeling again. 2.) To me, there is a difference between the various finishes. For example, I abosolutely LOATHchrome finished blades! Even when I hit them pure, it feels like I'm hitting a hammer. On top of that, to me they're ugly and not pleasing to my eye. I've hit different chrome plated blades and cavity backs, and they all felt like hammers! I can do satin, black oxide, and raw, but I just can't do the chrome stuff. 3.) The main reason, outside of 1 & 2, is that my club fitter is giving me a really, really good deal on my KZG RAW heads. I hit them in satin and loved them, but when he said that he had them in RAW (and explained what that was...) I was hooked. So yeah, RAW's can be a pain, but shouldn't we take good care of are irons anyway? The way I look at it, they just need a little more TLC.

Any chance you might be able to make some videos as well?

Hey Gocchin, we've already had the PGA merchandise show on our side of the pond. When will JP have theirs?

Damn. A thousand dollars for those?!?!?!?!? Man, I need to get into the golf bag business then too. What's the point of having all of the top of the line stuff in a bag and it design doesn't do it justice. MHO of course. I with the guys...only in Japan.

Would Golf Factory's Sword Oil work? http://www.tourspecgolf.com/Gold39s-Factory-Sword-Oil

Thanks TSG! That helps out tons! Hmmm, I was wondering why Kyoei was starting to grow on me. LOL! I guess my next questions would be, "Since they get to skip two steps, does that mean that the price is lower because of it?" and "What's the best way to take care of my RAW blades?". PS By the way, love your sig and avatar. Samurai's with swords and sub-machine guns with silencers. LOL! Gotta' love it! Where did you find them?

Sup people! This question is initially for gocchin, but anyone can chime in if they have some input. As you all know, (and in case you didn't...) I will be getting some KZG RAW blades built for this years season. I've aleady hit them in the satin finish, so I know that I love them and can hit them too. It'll just be a different type of feel from what I was told, but not by much. It had me thinking though, "Who else makes RAW irons?". My concern for this, is because the KZG RAW blades have been discontinued for a while now and they aren't making them or any other RAW irons in the future. So, seeing that I like the feel of a RAW iron, where do I go when these darlings of mine can't be played any more? Now, I do know about VEGA's stuff and my club fitter sells them as well, but those things are expensive! By the time I need them though, I should be able to afford them. But still, I haven't been able to find any other companies, as of yet, that make RAW blades. Since I understand this to be a type of finish like chrome, satin, and black oxide, could one ask for this to be done to their irons? If so, who out there, whether component, JP Spec or OEM gives this option? Many thanks in advance and look foward to your replies.
  15. Although I haven't hit them, if I had to choose, I'd have to go with Miura. Straight foward and classic, with technology up the wazoo ta' boot. (i.e. he makes blades easier to hit.) Well, not 100% sure about that, but I have to hit blades, that's just me. So, if a company doesn't have any blades in their line up, and I can only pick one brand, then I probably wouldn't pick them. Of course, having one of Mirua's cool ass staff bags doesn't hurt either. I'd be looking pretty even if I couldn't play'em! LOL!
  16. So the 352's are nice huh? Noticed that you have a clearence on them as well. Probably be the cheapest Mizuno to get next to the D201's. Notice that you've hit these as well. How do they feel to you? Oh yeah, I'm asking all of these questions but haven't said anything about me' :p Well, the only spec I can give you now, is that my club speed (based on what my local clubfitter said...) is in the high 90mph range. But as you've noticed from my posts, my concern is feel and playability around the greens. Hmm...gocchin, instead of me asking something everytime I post, could you please give me your opinons, on the best balls you'd recommend for spin, playability and a soft feel. Preferably in the price range you have for the D201's and 352's. Having older equipment doesn't bother me, as long as it works. :p Thanks for all the replies as well.
  17. First of all, which V10 are you guys referring too? I see and orginal and new version on your list. Also, is it illegal to use JP golf balls in US competition?
  18. Hey gocchin! ^__^ Sorry for taking a while for replying back to my post. LOL! Yeah, I see that you do have quite the collection there. Do you ever plan on doing reviews for the top golf balls in JP? If forgot that I was also interested in TR Spins as well. I know that I want a soft feeling ball with stopping power around the greens. Don't care for distance type balls too much, unless they do both very well. Like I said earlier, I got some of the new Callaway Tour i(s)'s based on what I'm looking for in a ball. So I think I'd probably like t TR Spins and 801's, but not 100% sure. That's why I'm asking if you ever plan to give (or translate) some of the manufactures informaion and or give your imput. Thanks again.
  19. Hi Frank! Thanks for the reply. I was interested in the Mizuno 801 series balls, but ended up getting a great deal on some of the new Callaway Tour i(s) balls. Couldn't pass it up. :)
  20. Aw come one people! Doesn't someone has some information about JP golf ball market?!?!?!?!
  21. shoutout33 posted a post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Hey people! Been a lurker at the shop and Blog for a good while and now I need some help. I love all of the reviews, pics, and information given about top of the line J-Spec clubs. However, I need help with deciding what golf ball(s) I'd like to use. Just like the clubs, the balls are expensive so I'd really like some feedback or reviews from some of the posters. I did stumble on some golf ball info. in the blog area, but haven't been able to find it again and I don't know how to search for it either. I'm definitely interested in Mizuno's stuff, but I'd really like to know what else is out there for med. to low handicap players. I'd also like to know, what balls they compare to on the US side. Also, what older golf balls (two years at the most...) were well received and used as well. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and I'll be looking for your replies.
