My journey on finding shaft for my Ryomasss
i've only been on a monitor once (hence i ordered a PRGR REP) at a golf shop and my range is 102-105 and comfortably using a 7.2 CB46. I've come from an Oban devotion7 x flex 265cpm and no issues but the weight of that combo is too much for my wrist. I have a moderate tempo. Now ur SS shows all the way to 115mph hence the comment i made. But then, it's about choosing the most flexible shaft you can control right?

Tourstage 705 (415) vs PRGR 435 vs my old Adams 9015D
9015D long and consistent 705 = odd bomber but not as consistent. I don't know really.. just guessing :)

wait a sec.. cris cross info here.. Valante, your other post is showing your SS around 110mph and a 6.2 6.7 cb46 will be to soft for you? You surely will need a 7.7+ flex.

My journey on finding shaft for my Ryomasss
More please :) Shouldn't you be on the 270+cpm region with your SS? Or u have a slowish tempo?

My journey on finding shaft for my Ryomasss
Wow dude that's a gr8 line up of shafts on a gr8 head. That would drive me nuts lol. Are going to post some data? Get the PRGR REP unless u already have a trackman :) Cheers

Hiya Robb, I'm one of the devotees of this combo. If you got the right flex (crazy fitting is a little sensitive) then u will b happy. Most have commented that you need to tee the ball high & I found this to be a real good tip. Let us know how it goes. Eric

Lol C, funny stuff. That's really good. Better take Advantage of that extra yardage.

Miura & Miuraism iron head size
Great stuff m8. I love the size of the 1957/sb01. It was very daunting at first. When I shank, I shank em all the same wether Gi irons of baby blades lol. I like the fact that the ball looks huge when I'm addressing it rather than thinking omg that head I so small. My 3i is the CB202, such a different swing feel with the extra metal hanging far from the shaft. Your last diagram probably explains that. In relation to swing plane, I didn't make any changes. Cheers E

Ryoma Fairway's? Anyone get them yet care to share reviews?
Is the DJ a lower spin C? I was just so surprised with the DI-6. It was the same shaft he had on a driver and didnt really think much of it then but on the egg it came alive. Maybe DI-7 is a better compromise. My current Old Egg with ilima performs. It is a much heavier config that the rest of my bag & more of match with my Adams classic driver. It is the best i ever had but always have to really focus coz the timing/tempo is so different to the rest (static and swingweight is heavy) Maybe Sigma for you for a heavier class? My experience of the FW80 (Gian11 had the 6.2 & 6.9) was not right and i cant put a finger to it. kinda felt dull/lifeless. Maybe i need a 7.4 since the CB46 7.2 in the driver is right on?

A friend had this DI-6 on the current egg. I got an ilima 80s on my Egg (prev model) and always preferred the heavier shaft but this DI-6 absolutely performed and it was untipped.. I was expecting no control etc but this just mesmerized me. Then he pulled it out and put a crazy 80fw which he loves but i didnt lol. Told him to put the DI-6 on the F3 and if he doesn't like it then I might have to get if off him lol.

kamui 456 driver head.
Nice review Stew. This is conforming?

Softest Jspec Iron ever
I do also think the nailed persimmon sound is awesome & that's showing my age. The performance & cracking sound of the titaniums since Callaways BB early 90s really shifted the paradigm on sound and driving proficiency perception. That's why their cutting edge tech, Callaway C4 in 02 was a flop coz it had a dull/muted more persimmon sound instead if the powerful cracking sound the majority got accustomed to.

Ryoma Driver Observation
Yea.. My 1st JDM head and my experimentation with driver stopped.. How boring and bad for business i say lol.. Saved me lots despite the price really come to think of it. The CB46 recommendation has really fitted me T, thanks although the Royal Deco is tempting :) Cant wait til the prgr rep arrives so I can tinker a little with swing & set up with this bad boy. -Eric

Ryoma Driver Observation
Although i have used many drivers but limited in the quality JDMdrivers. The Ryoma/Crazy is the best i ever had for distance and forgiveness. I went looking for a new driver due to getting injured using a heavy config tour driver to get some consistency in my game. The main injury is in my lead wrist and a slight twinge on my left hip. I completely ignored the latter. This is when i got this combo. At 1st i thought ummm about the same distance as my previous driver, which was long, but more forgiving and stable despite being a much lighter config. I thought for the spend is it really worth it? Then i notice my iron play is much shorter as i play with injuries. The left wrist started to settle with the lighter config so i thought i cant really sell this then as its suiting me. But lighter should also equate to a little extra distance hmm. Then i started bombing 1-2 a game but the irons still up to a club shorter than usual. I bumped into an old pal one day and I was just mentioning my experiences and he said more than likely, the left hip twinge (which i ignored) has unconsciously caused me stop firing/clearing that hip. So i worked on it and bingo, the irons came back, the Ryoma/Crazy started to boom. I'm a 5'3 stocky and Gian11 here can tell you the consistent bombs he has witnessed. More importantly, they're a higher chance of being in play.

Definitely Stevo, the majority of my misses with all clubs is heel and as soon as i read this (Stew i think commented on this) I had to adjust. Middle hits to toe definitely goes longer.

Softest Jspec Iron ever
Isn't soft feel in golf really being assessed by our hearing more than anything else? I read a testing a while back with low cappers with soft balls & rocks. During normal conditions, they got it right 100% of the time, then with headphones with correct corresponding sound recording they also got it 100% right as which is soft & hard. Then they do the reverse sound With the headphones, again they got it 100% wrong.

Recommend me a shaft!?
Umm hitting it well then it it just started hooking? Sounds like a good excuse for jDM Gear. On a serious note, the forgiveness of a head like ryoma along with the stability of the high carbon crazy/quadra shafts will certainly help quite a lot. Just get fitted properly. When it comes to Crazy shaft Tario knows it like the back of his hands, you just need to assess urself accurately. I'm prone to draw/hook and was recommended a CB46 on a ryoma and really enjoying the stability & forgiveness

best of the best compey
I also came from Adams. C, remember the tour speedline classic u built with Oban devo? That was an absolute beast. It was really the speedline tour version of the 9015d. Still sad to see it go but my wrist couldn't handle the heft anymore. Let us know how it goes Stew. It'll b interesting.

yamaha forged.
Sometimes you really got to wonder the origin of this. Imagine if they can get sued lol

PRGR REP
Yup couldn't resist any longer lol.

Steel vs titanium in FW woods
"supposedly" more distance & forgiveness for Ti vs consistency & control of Steel. I have used both and to me the head design is more important for ease (since all 3w are possessed) of use. Ie I like using off the deck so the egg spoon & the old TM 200 were The designs that suited me and therefor give me the results due to a more consistent strike irrelevant of wether steel or Ti.

PRGR REP
Same boat here.. I think I'll get one
