Hard step vs Soft step....
+1. I also would prefer 'straight in' where possible but if not, then hard step for me would be better than soft

2012 is here and the Ryoma fairway maybe calling me.....reviews?
Can't wait to see your review T For me, I don't know why so many people complain about the sound in Egg as for me it was quite Ok but for sure the F3 sound more solid.

My Experience with Shaft Flex
Totally agree we shouldn't let ego effect our selection of choices. I've seem it too many times that everyone wanna play 'stiff' cause they 'think' they should

Shingo Katayama training aid
Both training aids seems to work on the same goal with one higher up your arms and the other lower. For me I like the quick master more....

Nippon 950 flex
I would go stiff in Nippon 950. Both shaft should give you a nice high launch. How's your ball flight like in your KBS regular?

2012 is here and the Ryoma fairway maybe calling me.....reviews?
My Ryomo F3 just arrived last week and only manage to hit it in the range last night. Here are my thoughts.... Address: At address the F3 looks slightly close to me as compare to Egg but both are spec as neutral. Face: The F3 face is also slightly deeper compare to the Egg and for me easier to hit off the deck. (I can never hit my Egg off the deck) Head: The larger head volume seem to give it stability (and confidence) and the best part is no matter where I hit it on the face, it seem to go almost the same distance so the sweet spot is defiantly much LARGER than Egg. I don't' like the aerodynamic design of the Egg as it always wants to swing up for me and have cause me a few top balls in the past. Launch: Overall it's seem easier to 'launch' (almost no effort) with distance similar or even slightly further than my Egg Spoon. However not sure if this is because of the shaft? Egg launch a tad lower with much shorter carry distance but with more roll where F3 launch higher with more carry and less roll, which I like as sometimes I can't seem to control the Egg lol However also note that the shaft plays an important role as my F3 is shaft with a crazy while my Egg is shaft with an Adila NV lol

My Experience with Shaft Flex
I believe in getting fitted for the right shaft is important as everyone swings differently. Some shafts are more suited to a smooth tempo, while others are more suitable for an aggressive swing in regardless of swing speed IMO. Weight of shaft also plays an important role for tempo, which some of you have mention above. However finding the right combo (especially drivers and FW shafts) are difficult as there are so many excellence choices out there today with so many different profile for different type of swings, players, etc.

Japan magazines
Agree.....would be a huge market for it IMO if it only comes in English

Swing weight at D9..
I think Vega heads are traditionally heavier. Any pictures of your baby?

27 holes with my Crazy 460/Miyazaki white today
Sorry to hear the Miyazaki is not working out for you.... While I've not tried Crazy head, but base from what I read around, I also think the shaft is the issue here. Then again, does this means fitting Crazy shaft into just about any head will gives us that extra distance??

AF Tour or AF 302
IMO both are equally nice and as 'forgiving'. 302 is not more forgiving than AF Tour and likewise. The only difference is the loft where the traditional loft would most likely give you a lower ball flight versus a stronger loft. As for shaft, try a lower launching shaft. If you're hitting your DG S300 too high, then the SP Blue might be a good idea or as some mention C-Taper. Shaft will depends on the type of ball flight you would like to see or achieve.... some shaft like Modus do launch higher than SP Blue but the trajectory is not 'ballooning' up in the sky and getting lost in the wind but instead very penetrating and hold itself against the wind well.

crazy boron shaft
Love the head.... any picture of the shaft?

Yururi Raw Flatback Irons with Nippon Modus 3….
Hmmmm.... now you got me all confuse and excited at the same time !! Another iron shaft to look out for... which series are you using? K's 3001 or K's 7001 or K's Tour? What about wedges? You use their K's NW110 or K's NW120? What's the difference in each do you know?? Or maybe Geochin can chip in with some info?

Yururi Raw Flatback Irons with Nippon Modus 3….
What the characteristic like for shimada?? Launch angel, spin, flex? I hear they are great for wedges but not sure on blades?

Yururi Raw Flatback Irons with Nippon Modus 3….
I've also the same results in Project X in my MP68 too. Shimadas is one shaft I'm interested to try but not much info I could gather from real life usage here....not to mention no where to try em out ! Thinking of using them for my wedges... what flex do they play like?? Are the softer to flex like Modus?? TT Monacco I hear good things but again cannot get my hands on those :( From my understanding C-Taper plays very differently from KBS Tours. Lower launch but not as smooth feeling like KBS Tour.. I'm planning on shafting them C-Tapers on Epon 502 heads and see how I like the feel of it, and if it goes well, might just reshaft my Yururi #7 iron to try out before reshafting the whole lot.
