Pete, If you are referring to the Fire Express Max the flex is true to flex to a bit on the weak side. I typically do not play SX nor Extra Stiff, but with this I do not have an issue. my swing speed is around 105mph Launch and spin, I would say, is mid to high launch with low to mid spin. It is just a very stable and forgiving shaft in my opinion. I am hitting a bit high with this combo which is why I chose the Mizuno driver with a Diamana Ahina shaft which is working well for me. As for the Waccine GR-77. Flex is true to flex to a tad stiff to flex . With the Craft 415 head, it has mid launch and, to me, seems extremely low spin. When I don't catch the ball completely , I almost get a drop ball due to the very low spin. The Craft 425 is not exactly a low spin head compared to more modern heads, but this shaft makes it a low spin bomber. Hope this helps!

  12. just comparing cpm, the modus 120 stiff are really low , lower than dg r300. data from http://suuchi.golfclubsuuchi.com/ there are more data on this site but just to give you perspective: modus 120 stiff - 308 cpm with a 38 inch 5 iron 1150gh stiff - 323 cpm with 38 inch 5 iron 950gh stiff - 314cpm with 38 inch 5 iron rifle 5.5 - 337 cpm with a 38 inch 5 iron project x 6.0 - 344 cpm with a 38 inch 5 iron dg s300 - 327cpm with a 38 inch 5 iron dg r300 - 311cpm with a 38 inch 5 iron I know numbers don't tell everything but based on what you normally use, I think your swing is used to something with higher cpm. hope this helps.
  13. Have a few drivers for sale. 1. Mizuno MP 650 8.5* / Fujikura Orochi 55 Stiff 45" Amazing springy soft feel off the face. Perhaps softer than their MP Craft line for drivers. Still looks like new. No noticeable marks on the face, minor marks on the sole. Orochi shaft is actually pretty nice for a stock shaft. Comes with headcover in new condition. $90 PP net to me shipped within US 2. Titleist 910 D3 9.5* / Aldila RIP Phenom 60 Tour Extra Stiff 44.75" Overall good condition. Marks from normal usage on face and sole. Crown is in good condition except for a rub mark close to the hosel. Hardly noticeable at address. Comes with a knit type headcover. $150 PP net to me shipped within US 3. Titleist 909 D3 9.5* / Mitsubishi Fubuki K 70 Stiff 45.25" Overall good condition. Marks from normal usage on face and sole. Crown is in good condition except for a couple of tiny paint chips. Comes with magnetic cover usable but worn from usage. $110 PP net shipped within US.

Hi folks, After a few trial and errors trying to find the right clubs for this season, my bag is pretty much set and need to sell a few things that I will not be using. Please check out the drivers in the USDM section as well. I only have one JDM item for now. 2014 Mizuno MP Fairway 17deg 5 wood / Rombax FW 85 Stiff 42.5" Got this fairway wood a couple of months ago together with the MP Craft 513 driver hoping that it would be the one. Head is a bit too large for my preference. So I went back to an older MP titanium fairway instead. This head has a Titanium face, feels very hot off the face while very easy to hit and launch especially considering that it is their "MP" line product. Club is in mint condition with only a few minor marks on the face and sole. Looking for quick sale at SOLD including shipping within CONUS
  15. I think Mizuno MP line in 2013 did really well.
  16. Does anyone have experience with these shafts used in their wedges? How do they compare? I am reshafting my irons with 1150GH and was wondering if I should do the same for my wedges or try the WV shafts instead. Do the WV shafts produce much more spin compared to the 1150GH? I do prefer lower trajectory with added spin with my wedges.
  17. I wish Mizuno just let us do completely no logo. Kind of like this one but in satin finish. http://www.g-pocket.jp/shopdetail/005002000031/005/X/page2/order/ This was designed and planned by Golf Digest Japan and produced by Royal Collection. Clean simple and no nonsense.
  18. Yeah, I was really fighting to resist that one.

Now how does that 3&4 shaft reversal work? So the #3 has a shaft that is hard stepped once and the #4 Iron has a shaft that is soft stepped once? Am I understanding this correctly? That is very interesting. never seen in done before.
  21. Don't forget the Tour AD "GT" which I believe is in between the BB and MT. Not as tip stiff as the BB but still lower-mid launch.
  22. I do too. :) I typically end up putting easily replaceable clubs in my gamer. I only use the backup set like once or twice a year. They're too nice to play regularly.
  23. We actually had a couple of nice days earlier this week and the course I have membership with officially opened for the season! Then we got snowed again yesterday. :( Today the sun is working hard to melt down the snow, but does not look like I'll have another golfing day until mid next week. Golf life in Montana... Anyway, today, I decided to take some pictures of my bags. First, my 2014 season gamer. Got it very close to a single brand bag other than the putter. Not a lot of Mizzy putters that I would be confident enough to game. Was thinking about the MP Craft S103 from a few years ago, but they are harder to find these days. Notable shift in this bag is that I am trying out the "no hybrid" idea. Last couple years I have had rough time hooking shots using a hybrid. Perhaps I did not explore enough of other options ... but I've decided to start the season with my 3 and 4 irons which are more forgiving pocket cavity MP-54s. Don't have enough time yet with the woods to say much about them, but will provide a review in a couple of weeks. Driver: MP Craft 513 9.5* / Rombax Prototype 80B S-flex Fairway: '14 MP FW 17* / Rombax P95 S-flex Irons: 3,4 MP-54 / DG X100 softstepped 5-PW MP-4 / DG X100 softstepped Wedges: 50* & 56* MP-R4 / DG Wedge Putter: Odyssey Japan White Rize #5 V-Line Second, my back up / "will game it when I get older" bag I love these Yoro MP-33s! They are perfect with the NS Pro 1150s. I still rate these as the best irons Mizuno produced. It is really too bad they don't make them any more. A Rare MP Craft 425 driver in 8.5* ... softest feeling driver to date. Period! These heads were a bit spinny but combined with the Waccine shaft, it is perfect. These wedges and putter are vintage Gold's. They really look hand made which I like about them.
