  1. How does the arse covering word "may" from a company renowned for providing the best golf club finish, pretty much ever, become the word "prone"?
  2. I believe they have a Tour Authentic driver too.
  3. I would imagine these are very soft to hit. The rust isn't going to damage them so long as you take a modicum of care in looking after them. Some fine wire wool followed by a silicone spray/cloth will keep them looking fresh though the cavity is going to be a bit fiddly. Some people like the look but if you're not one of them places like BOS Golf can plate them for you. By the way, saw a similar raw set on ebay and thought they looked amazing.
  4. .355 taper tip as per www.mycallaway.eu.
  5. Always liked the look and concept of the Machine putters but have never tried one. The one you've got there looks very good. Not sure about the grip in weather conditions such as yours but certainly a bit different. Anyone tried the 'reverse arch' grip from Machine?
  6. 7.135 grams of lead tape? The NCIS lab wants their scales back.
  7. Does anyone know the clamp length Quadra uses to take CPM measurements?

The author stating Woods is using regular flex was quickly ridiculed. Seems more like X flex tipped 1 1/2 inches. Bet that feels smooth.
  9. Need any help with inventory control, stock taking etc?
  10. Anything x flex and low launch in a Zero is going to be one long putter for me.
  11. I'd say CFM for conforming, Non conforming doesn't have CFM stamp.
  12. I believe the theory behind butt trimming an 8 iron shaft to fit a wedge is that that it takes the shaft half a flex down, consequently more spin and feel. This is Tom Wishons take on it anyway. Apparently there are some players who prefer to go the other way for example playing a 5.5 in their irons and 7.0 in their wedges, I'm guessing because roll is easier to control than check is.

I would imagine any decent spray shop, especially one that deals with classic/custom cars or bikes would be able to quote you.
  14. I,ve seen this done on a tour van (video) using a mold to clamp the head and heat applied to the hosel but would consider it unlikely your going to find a club builder with this capability.
  15. Still using one now but guessing Stews' doesn't have the premium zone insert?

While Epons, limited editions certainly appeal to us golfers (especially the ones that own them) it is my opinion that it is more a case of Endo shouting "Hey look what we can do" towards the large EOMs. At the end of the day it is the Callaways etc that are going to pay the bills, not 500 people buying a Zen. Also while the Zen is truely limited, if you put the production run of the AF-102 against say the TM R11 many would consider it limited too.
  17. Australia followed by South Africa then Canada then Norway. Over 90% of this is used to make titaniun dioxide (used in paint pigment etc. White golf balls anyone?) according to Wikipedia, based on 2003 statistics but I can't see to much having changed.
  18. That's an interesting point, I'm 6'5, play an AF-Tour 5 @ 39 inch shafted with Nippon 950 reg (look like I'm made out of pipe cleaners) and said club gets the ball to climb faster than my mates 8 iron. Was thinking I had a flip going on but this may be the reason. On a side note was thinking SP Blue/C Taper but not sure if I have the swing speed for these even in reg. Any suggestions?

Don't know much about their specs apart from they are a weight flow design but wouldn't imagine they were an EOM original fit due to the fact they are very expensive (around £100 per shaft). Saw a 4-P set of pulls a while ago for £400. There is a set of Taylor Made Burner irons on ebay at the moment (item # 290590849470) with them for $600. Probably worth it just for the shafts but you could contact the seller for more info on the shaft spec.
  20. Have read Dave Tutelmans' reveiw of this shaft (he looks at golf equipment and techniques from a purely engineering prospective, google him) and he dismisses the "one size fits all" theory in the same way as if it were applied to shoes. Want a heavy weight FW shaft, try Matrix or Nippon.
  21. You can get shims to put a .335 shaft into a .350 head, not sure about .370.

Try www.urbangolf.co.uk, Epon and Miura dealer, full custom fitting, golf simulators (not many courses in central London) and located in Kennsington,Smithfield and Soho so you can just jump a tube.
  23. Royal Collection I'm thinking.
